Just wanted a casual, comfy chair for my tiny bedroom in my tiny apt. It is a perfect fit for my purpose. I had a beanbag chair long ago & remember it being quite difficult to get out of.     • Small Person Who Likes To Sit ‘Weird’?

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I feel the need to talk about Big Joe bean bag chairs vs others. This is my second chair-structured-style Big Joe chair and for reference I’m 5’3” and 128 lbs. Instead of just showing another photo of the chair, I wanted everyone checking these out to see how it fits someone my size. I love these things so much and I’m very hard on them. An illness has me sitting in one most of the time these days. A bit hard to get up from, but I’m so darn comfortable sitting in them. This particular one came very filled with, I might add, Big Joe’s SUPERIOR bean filler. I’ve never messed with the memory foam fill and I consider Big Joe beans to be better than any others I’ve tried. Yes, with daily abuse you will have to use half a bag to refresh it every few months. To me it’s worth it because they are such a huge part of my daily life these days. The fabric of this one is going to be harder to clean after a spill or general rubbing against/sitting on/against by my pups than the black vinyl like one I have. However, this material almost feels like a panne velvet or synthetic suede. And it’s not freezing when you first sit in it. It feels better to me and a lot more cozy. And, btw, as long as you keep it filled properly, it actually gives arm rest and back support (which I desperately need.) (Being queer and all...) I can’t sit like a normal person and it is big enough to allow me to do weird contortions comfortably. XD Like I said, though, I’m only 5’3” and not a large person so someone taller/bigger is not going to fit the same in this model as I do. Also, it is SO lightweight that I can pick it up, move it, shake it, etc... without any issue to my bad back/neck. So... If you don’t mind purchasing the beans every few months and going through filling it, I highly recommend. <3 ... show more

They are much bigger than I thought they’d be - very comfy for 6 year olds - but probably wouldn’t be super comfy for adults bc the back isn’t sturdy. It arrived on time, no packaging issues, and no damage in transit. This bean bag chair was comfortable. It fit my 11 year old well. Perfect size for kids and teenagers. Fast forward 8 months and the bottom tore open. The tear was too long to sew up with any success. Because the tear was so long across the bottom, the repair would have popped open quickly. I need to mention, this bean bag chair was used strictly for sitting in, there was no roughhousing with it at all. Therefore, I was shocked when it tore in such a short span of time. I needed a chair for a temporary purpose, didn't want to spend a lot of money and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this item. It's quite sturdy and you don't 'sink into it' like old-time bean bag chairs. It's roomy enough for an adult and the seat is high enough that your feet sit flat on the floor (I'm 5'6".) The fabric looked more plush in the picture and I was happy to it was actually sleek and not fluffy, more like a suede than fleece. Open the box, take it out, instant seating.
