Easy to put up and fairly easy to assemble. Would have rated 5 stars but for two things. First, the seat assembly would have been much easier if the drawing had been clearer. Not a very good stand. Don't recommend this one. The foot platform is not large enough to stand safely while hunting. For the money you can get a much larger stand foot platform which will alow much safer movement. Even sitting down and trying to turn around to climb down is not safe.

Just finished putting this stand up. Very simple to put together. I will say this if you have someone to help you put this ladder stand up, DO IT! I took it upon myself to put the stand up. This thing, at 16', is way top heavy. I ended up using only two of the ladders. It comes with three. I just couldn't get it by myself. Turns out, it's at about 12' which is perfect. Overall, this being my first ladder stand, I definitely would buy another. Under $70 and a solid piece of equipment? Sold. I included pictures of the stand as well as the view from sitting atop it. I also forgot to mention, which the ad doesn't, it comes with a safety harness. ... show more

Bought two of these models from Dunham's locally for $49.99/each. They are way more sturdy and better made than the Big Dog/Menard's equivalents. Simple, can set them up by yourself, and seem to weather well.
