I have bought 3 of these same model now and have been happy with them. I take them down after the season is over and store them inside, otherwise they would defiantly rust and become unsafe. Foot platform could be bigger. I like the chair back being away from the tree to keep your coat from making noise against the bark.     • Dangerous, Poorly Designed, and Missing Parts — Worst Ladder Stand I’ve Ever Used

I’ve assembled and used many ladder stands over the years, but this one is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. To start, the stand arrived with missing bolts and fasteners. During assembly, I was cut by a sharp piece of untrimmed welding wire — something that should have been removed at the factory. After that, I had to go over the entire stand with wire cutters trimming off dozens of leftover metal spikes. Completely unacceptable. The instructions were equally awful — vague, unclear, and full of incomplete phrases like “attach to receivers on the middle ladder section,” with no diagram or identifiable parts labeled as “receivers.” Even after carefully checking the parts list and every section, nothing matched. It’s obvious there was little to no quality control or attention to detail during production. When I finally managed to get it partially assembled, the holes didn’t even align correctly, making it impossible to fully secure several parts. And when I tried climbing it for the first time, I discovered another sharp metal stub — in my finger this time. This stand is dangerous, poorly designed, and unsafe. I returned it immediately to Amazon. To make matters worse, the company then charged me a $150 restocking fee, claiming it wasn’t returned in good condition. I sent it back exactly as it was shipped to me — with missing parts, no plastic wrapping, and unassembled — the same poor condition it arrived in. First checked to make sure everything was in the box and hardware Thumbs up.welds on Stairs seem good instructions were simple an easy to put together.I didn’t tighten everything till I had it all together.The stand seems Sturdy the only thing I don’t like is the pins for the ladder.I won’t be using them I think the pins could be fatter to go through the connection on each stair piece some play when connected with the pins.Im just gonna use 1/4x2” bolts washer an locking nuts.I don’t have it in my spot yet but when I do I’ll update it when I do.Overall it seems like a descent stand an comfortable.overall I’m happy with it ... show more

Get the 1.5 man stand if at all posable. The gun rail is adjustable (not so on this model) I usually have crossbow sitting on rail and lap, but gun rail is way to high to do that. So, if deer comes directly in front you will have a problem getting crossbow in position for a shot without raising the gun rail. When the gun rail is up its really a tight fit with my shoulders (almost uncomfortable) Not sure if I should leave it up or down (like the down position just to make me feel more safe) Cons: Too many long bolts and not enough shorter ones, no plugs for end of open end tubes, not able to adjust gun rail, when rail is up tight fit with shoulders (not a big guy either) Pros: Easy to assemble, Lightweight, quick shipping, stable when put up correctly. ... show more
