It is moderately hard to put up but If you are somewhat handy you could do it.     • Dangerous, Poorly Designed, and Missing Parts — Worst Ladder Stand I’ve Ever Used

I’ve assembled and used many ladder stands over the years, but this one is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. To start, the stand arrived with missing bolts and fasteners. During assembly, I was cut by a sharp piece of untrimmed welding wire — something that should have been removed at the factory. After that, I had to go over the entire stand with wire cutters trimming off dozens of leftover metal spikes. Completely unacceptable. The instructions were equally awful — vague, unclear, and full of incomplete phrases like “attach to receivers on the middle ladder section,” with no diagram or identifiable parts labeled as “receivers.” Even after carefully checking the parts list and every section, nothing matched. It’s obvious there was little to no quality control or attention to detail during production. When I finally managed to get it partially assembled, the holes didn’t even align correctly, making it impossible to fully secure several parts. And when I tried climbing it for the first time, I discovered another sharp metal stub — in my finger this time. This stand is dangerous, poorly designed, and unsafe. I returned it immediately to Amazon. To make matters worse, the company then charged me a $150 restocking fee, claiming it wasn’t returned in good condition. I sent it back exactly as it was shipped to me — with missing parts, no plastic wrapping, and unassembled — the same poor condition it arrived in. The 17 inch wide seat is too narrow for a 5’10” average sized male! No room to maneuver around for lateral shooting angles. Would not recommend purchase on this basis. Otherwise, the assembly was simple, sturdy enough, and lightweight.

I have bought 3 of these same model now and have been happy with them. I take them down after the season is over and store them inside, otherwise they would defiantly rust and become unsafe. Foot platform could be bigger. I like the chair back being away from the tree to keep your coat from making noise against the bark. I bring a seat cushion out with me witch makes the seat more comfortable and warm. ... show more

Started off with a bad delivery from FedEx. The installation was a little annoying. The welds are janky and the holes didn’t quite line up. I had to bend and hammer some of the bolts in. Yes, I read the instructions and I left all nuts loose til the end. Once it’s on the tree, it’s ok. I’m 210 lbs and it feels mildly unsafe for my weight. It flexes and gives a little at the joints on the ladder. It may feel better if using bolts and nuts rather than the included pins. I’ve got extra heavy ratchet straps holding it up.
