  • Works as advertised
Color: White TP01
The set up is easy. Pictures not included! Haha. But tabs to write a name are included and the instructions of how to add pictures are clear and concise. With 3 big memory buttons and more memory storage by setting each digit to a new number, there's more than enough storage for my child to have a simple phone to call me and other friends and family. The sound quality is very clear, the phone has a simple chime when ringing as well as lighting up, and the speaker function is handy. I like this phone a lot! ... show more

  • Great phone for NON- techie Seniors!
Color: White TP01
My 89-year-old husband is in an assisted living facility and had so much trouble trying to use a flip style cellphone--his fingers couldn't consistently hit the buttons properly, or he'd hit the wrong buttons (eg change to "vibrate") or he'd forget to charge the phone, etc. The Terry Phone solved all these problems and more. This is the kind of phone he's used to, and everything is easy--big buttons, loud ringers, etc. He can't carry the phone around with him, but at least he knows how to use it! We just let it ring extra long so he has time to reach the unit! ... show more

  • Good phone for seniors
Color: White TP01
The large numbers are very clear. Easy to program the autodial tabs and the ability to put pictures or a name under a clear plastic cover is a nice touch. However the sound quality is only fair...has a tinny quality. Don't know if this is better on a more expensive model. But this serves our needs for my mother w mild dementia to use. She does not talk for very long on a call. And at least she can call me if she is anxious. ... show more

  • Great phone & excellent customer service
Color: White TP01
Purchased this phone for my elderly father who lives in assisted living period. He has hearing, speech, grip, and mobility issues that affect his ability to use a telephone without assistance. The handset has a grip pad on it which makes it easy for him to hold the handset when using the phone. It also has a speaker phone for a hands free option and this is particularly helpful for conference calls. There are 3 memory buttons you can set up to program 3 different numbers for one button push dial. This makes it really easy for my dad to call us if he needs anything in case he forgets our number. When we received the phone we followed the instructions and registered it. When we went to set up the phone we made a mistake without knowing it and plugged the handset into the outjack on the back of the phone. For some reason we completely missed the handset Jack on the side of the phone. Needless to say we didn't get the phone to work and we were very frustrated. The next day I had resigned myself to purchase a different phone when customer service from Terry phone reached out to me via text to ask me how it went with. The installation of the phone. I told them that we couldn't get the phone to work and I thought it was defective. They responded with some troubleshooting things to try to see if we could get the phone to work. I was certain I had done everything right? The first time and was reluctant to try but I did anyway. Needless to say when I Followed the customer service reps (THANK YOU, MARY!) suggestions that's when I discovered the jack for the handset on the side of the phone. I was embarrassed about being such a dimwit. But I was extremely happy that the phone was now working and I didn't have to get a new one after all. My dad absolutely loves the phone it's easy for him to use. I would recommend this phone for anyone. ... show more

  • Great phone for non-tech seniors
Color: White TP01
The phone is a nice small size for a side table beside my 95 yr old mom’s recliner. It now has a photo of each of us three kids that she can just press on to speed dial. The phone has a comfortable covering on the earpiece for arthritic hands to comfortably hold. The ringer is high pitched for her to hear from other rooms. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Speaker phone mic is very poor
Color: White TP01
One of the features that is important for us is the speaker phone. We tried it and found that the mic built in to the phone would only pic up our voices when we were within a foot of it, and we had to talk directly into it. If we were not this close and directly facing the mic, then we could not be heard on the other end. Because this feature is nearly useless, we are sending it back. ... show more

  • My mom can hear
Color: White TP01
I bought this phone for my mom in December. She’s so hard of hearing. She has hearing aids, but also a hand held helper so to speak, that she paid extra for, for her hearing as ids that way she she turn up and down depending on where she’s at! We tried a caption phone and there is so much static, the people that type the convo on the other end, was slow, so we turned the caption off. Last week, I ordered another one of these phones for her computer room and got rid of the cordless phones that was doing absolutely nothing. In fact, when I call came in and she answered it on the cordless phone she’s always say hold on. I can’t hear you and she would have to get up and go to the Terry phone or the static phone in the front room. She’s fed up with this one, but only kept it because of her being able to turn up. Since I replaced the cordless phone in the computer room, with this new Terryphone, she hasn’t had to get up and move to another room when a call comes in. She’s thrilled to pieces. Will be ordering 2 more to replace the others in the house! It also had 3 big buttons u top to store 3 of the easiest numbers she calls the most. Instructions very easy to set up too. I’d highly recommend getting this if u or anyone else is hard of hearing. I tell u, we’ve tried some other phones, but it was a no go, so we gave up. She had macular degeneration as well, and the big buttons a BIG fat plus!! I’d totally recommend anyone looking for a phone for the elderly or anyone that is hard of hearing!! Awesome phone for sure ... show more

  • Bought a new phone, received a used phone
Color: White TP01
Was disappointed when I received a used phone when ordering a new phone. The M1,2,3 tabs were already placed onto the phone base by the prior owner. Phone is easy to use for an elderly person with poor hearing and sight. Added raised tabs to the memory dial buttons to assist locating with poor vision. ... show more
