I have a Sun Conure who starts screaming at the first sign of morning sun so I need to have total blackout curtains to trick him into thinking it's still night until I open the curtains or he'll wake up the whole neighborhood like a farm rooster. I ordered the Beige and was afraid it would be too light to block the sun, but the black lining on back does the job completely. They are complete and total blackout and block everything. I get direct morning sun and with these closed you can't see any daylight whatsoever. I'm so happy my bird will think it's still night at 7am lol. The material is very soft to the touch and I don't believe they are too heavy and they slide effortlessly along the curtain rod. I've added photos of the curtains open and closed to show just how much sunlight I get in the morning. In the photos, you can see the strong morning sunlight hitting the floor and walls through the blinds with the curtains open, but when they're closed, it's pitch black!! I've always taped the sides of the curtains to the wall for complete light blocking and included a photo of that as well where you then only see light coming over from the top(there is also a photo before I taped the sides, to see the difference)----But each sunset, I have a light blanket that I drape over the top of the rod to block that light as well each evening so by morning the living room is total and complete pitch black until I take it off and open the curtains. The beige is true to the pictures in the listing and very elegant looking. After tossing them in the dryer with a damp rag for 10 minutes, they drape wrinkle free. The only thing left to do now is change out my orange sheers because they don't go with the beige as well as my old Chocolate curtain dids, so i'll replace them with white and it'll look much better. If you want total and complete 100% blackout curtains, these are definitely it. I can't attest for other colors, but the Beige, which is a light color truly blocks out all light, so it must be the same for all the other available colors. Definitely and highly recommended!! Get them if you want your room pitch dark!!

I received these so fast. I love the heavier weight than most curtains. I mean true black out. Also I am able to cover 3 rooms when I planned on two. Each package has two panels of course. I allowed for a gather but there is no need for that. So I had 2 packages left over and EACH panel will cover one of the 4 windows in our den. Our electric bill will be cheaper this summer & then next winter too. I LOVE the blue. It’s more like a dark royal blue. The color is so deep & rich! Thanks . I feel I made a perfect decision. Worth the little extra money!

I bought these in pure white, not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised.! They are complete black out and my west-facing Florida bedroom is now much cooler in the afternoons. I have faux wood blinds already installed. I bought a couple of cheap tension rods and hung these curtains, which are just slightly larger than my window, between the blinds, and the window, so that the curtains can’t even be seen from the bedroom. Result, total blackout effect. I never open those blinds, anyway, and those windows face my neighbor’s wall, so I have no interest in needing to see outside.

Got the beige color for my office and I am obsessed! They have the black lining on the back which helps make these curtains block all of the sunlight. They are also heavy and have an expensive look to them. Only complaint is that the stitching isn’t well done (see picture) but you can only tell if you look up close. Can’t see any issues with stitching from far away so I’m ok with that because of the rest of the quality!

They are made of beautiful, high quality fabric and not only block out light but they block enough heat that even deep in the heart of Texas heat I can turn off my air conditioner about half the day and still be comfortable. I ordered chocolate and navy so idk about the lighter colors but the darker colors are great

I bought some “black out curtains” from a specific box store in which we’re NOT what I would consider black out. I decided to give these a try. OMG no light gets through these except that around the walls. This can be fixed based on tucking or strategic placement. The curtains however will block all of the light. By these if that’s what your here for.

I recently bought "black out" curtains from a different company. While they darkened the room, they were still too sheer in the sunlight. These curtains actually have the black lining in the back that blocks out the sun. They are wrinkle free and the curtain fabric is thick enough so you don't see the back lining. I am very happy to sleep during the day with these in the bedroom.

The teal color is great (true to how it appears online) and they really do block out light. I gave them a quick ironing and didn’t fuss about getting all the creases out. The remaining creases eased out within a day or two. I’m really glad I got these- would definitely purchase again.
