These navy blue curtains are exactly what I was looking for! The color is rich and beautiful — it adds a nice pop to the room without being too dark. The fabric feels thick and high-quality, and they definitely block out sunlight really well. My guests have commented on how well they sleep with the room being so dark. I have not opened the item yet. However, I had purchased the item in the past for my bedroom. It's great, moreover, it works as it should. It keeps the light out, and keeps the area cool. You know the product has to work for me to turn around and purchase it again. I just hope the manufacturing of the product has not changed sine the last purchase. What a gamechanger these curtains are! I have one room that really gets hot in the summer, i had regular curtains and they just didnt help. Ordered these to help keep the room cooler in here (and cut back on air conditioning) and already they are a game changer. Not a peep of light and I noticed about a 5 degree temperature drop in my room after hanging them so i would say they have a good insulating effect. I have a thing for purple so the eggplant is a winner for me. Highly recommend these if you need to darken a room or help control the temperature of a certain room. At first I wasn't real impressed with the material but after ironing and hanging, they look very nice and elegant. They block the light when closed and when open, they have a low profile so they don't block much of the window to let in maximum light. Good quality, stitching is nice and true to size.
