This doesn't block out 100% of the light but works great for me. I have them up in my bedroom. None of the light shines through but parts of the curtain do have faint light showing. Color is a nice navy. The fabric seems nice and durable. They do darken my room during the day but I wouldn't say they are black out curtains as light does come through the fabric.

I put these up in my kitchen and my bedroom. A new house was recently built nextdoor. It's not occupied yet but the house is elevated on piers. Their windows face my windows, and anyone could see through thinner curtains. I don't want anyone to know when I'm in a particular part of the house. I will be buying more. I bought the grommet ones for ease of threading onto the rods. These come in various widths and lengths. I can hang them on my widest windows and my thinnest. We bought a 3 bedroom house last January, and at the time I bought 2 sets of Amazon Basics blackout curtains for our master and guest bedrooms, which we love. We didn't add any to the office. Well, this year we decided we needed some to match in the office too but sadly it looks like Amazon Basics has discontinued their blackout curtains. I got these and they are a very close match! The fabric is thinner than the Amazon Basics brand and the grommets are a different color, but they are very effective in blocking out sunlight, easy to clean, color is a dead match for the Amazon ones. The light that comes through on a sunny day is minimal at best. It's not pitch dark but it does minimize the light extremely. It helps insulate hot and cold too which helps keep my home temperature regulated.
