  • Amazing!
Color: Pewter
I regret not taking a before and after picture of the dresser I painted with this paint. It goes on easy and dries to a nice finish. I did 2 coats overall and an additional coat where needed, like on the drawer fronts. I purchased a used dresser that was painted white with pink stencils. I didn't have to sand, just wipe down to make it clean. I swapped out the knobs and the dresser looks great!! Will be purchasing more colors to paint more furniture. ... show more

  • Works great!
Color: Licorice
I used this on an already painted vanity and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I had partially sanded it to see how it would take on the exposed wood, versus the thick painted surface. It honestly did better on the painted surface than the exposed part. I’ve accidentally left a water bottle on the vanity after two coats, condensation dropped onto the vanity, but no marks/ damages left behind. This is a wonderful paint for beginners trying to fix their granny’s ugly furniture for a cheap price. Read the instructions, use a foam paint roller, and you’ll be fine. People having issues with this paint confuses me because of how well it worked for me. 🤷🏼♀️ ... show more

  • What's not to love?
Color: Licorice
This is the second time I have used Beyond paint for projects. The first time was about 15 years ago, and I have yet to have to do any touch up on that cupboard. This time, I ordered the licorice black to paint some cabinet doors. I like that it dries quickly and covers great. I hope they didn't change the paint in the past 15 years, and I get long wear on these doors too. They paint is super thick, like pudding but goes on smoothly and I painted 6 doors in about 1/2 hour. I waited overnight for them to dry and painted another coat. Because I painted over bonding primer, I did a third coat the following day and when I hung them up, I did touch up. I will leave them alone to fully cure for about a month. The paint has a matte/satin finish. ... show more

  • DON'T believe it. Use a PRIMER!!!
Color: Bright White
Ok, I chose the wrong product for my Queen Anne style (curvy legs) writing desk. I watched a YouTube video that said "don't need to sand or prime" so I didn't, Big Mistake!, especially painting white over dark. So I donned gloves and applied the first coat and let dry 20 hrs. Next day repeated. Third day repeated, and now I'm getting steamed, it's Not Covering. Day 4, painted desk top only. FOUR layers of paint still not covering, and I'm HOT... So I called Beyond Paint customer support, where I learned that even though (by their admission) it's not stated anywhere in their info, I should have primed... gee, thanks. I actually felt sorry for the lady on the other end who was just doing her job. She asked me to send pix displaying problems so BP team could examine for possible paint replacement, but I was done with BP. Next day sanded objectionable texture from desk while waiting for REGULAR paint to arrive. Sorry, forgot to say I bought and used Beyond Paint kit, which was a nightmare of it's own. Paint tray cracked first day, thankfully I used aluminum foil liner, roller cover wouldn't spin on it's handle leaving smooth paint application Impossible, and chip brush left hairs in my wet paint! Word to the wise - DON'T buy their crummy kit. So, now I'm 2 coats in with another paint and STILL having problems with Beyond Paint TEXTURE. I should have sanded between all the Beyond Paint coats, live and learn. Hope your project goes more smoothly! ... show more

  • Transformation was astounding!
Color: Pebble
This was recommended to us to paint the surface of our kitchen table. It was worn looking and the stain pens would not match or work on the surface. So we painted with the paint and put an extra layer for protection on a high traffic surface. It looks brand new and we get so many compliments on it. Love this product and will be using again on some other furniture pieces. ... show more

  • Not good for very old furniture
Color: Off White
I have refinished furniture the traditional way, meaning sanding, priming and painting. I needed to paint my sideboard quicky so I thought I would give Beyond Paint a try. My sideboard is an antique, mahogany wood. I cleaned it very well with Simple Green as instructed, then rinsed it several times with vinegar and water, let it air dry for 4 hours. I chose the off white and started to use the paint with the roller as directed and the chip brush. The first coat went on well, except for two areas on the top of my piece. The paint just started sliding off. I continued with the rest of the sideboard. I let it dry and gave it another coat. Again the paint would not adhere to these areas. I wiped the paint off of the areas and gave a second coat elsewhere. I let it dry overnight. There is definitely bleed through and not full coverage with two coats. I was able to cover up the areas that would not take the paint, but you can still see the wood coming through. My piece would definitely need 4 coats of this paint for a truly opaque finish. It looks fine for now as I want the somewhat distressed look. We will see how it holds up. For me I found that you cannot drag the paint with the roller or put pressure like with other paints. Just let the paint roll. You can tap the brush in the corners and the paint will self level once dry. Overall, it did take less time than usual refinishing, but I really should have sanded my piece prior to applying paint. It saved me time, clean up was easy and I am pleased with the result. I used 1 pint for a sideboard and have a drop left. My furniture really sucked up the paint. Not all furniture will come out the way those you tube videos show. ... show more
