The mic is beautifully made - great design. I agree with what Spike said (through translation), this mic gets clear, clean treble sounds and is great for clear speaking. I don't podcast, but I imagine this mic would be amazing for that. However, the mic lacks a bit in the lower end and I needed to do a lot of equalizing to balance it out. I have mainly used this for vocals in soft/rock music (mic says it can handle vocals well, even though main use is podcasting). The folks that tried it out with me all agreed it just lacked in warmth and depth. I am going to continue to search for the sweet spot with it as I feel it can still be found. I gave 4 stars as it does seem to serve its main purpose well. So far though, it doesn't compare to our SM58s for singing at half the price.

I am a bit of a microphone collector. I have around 25 microphones, and this one is probably my favorite. I do many different things with microphones is why I have so many, and each one servs different purpose. This one I got specifically for recording audiobooks because I like the clarity of it for natural speech which is what I wanted for this purpose. I have several other "podcasting" type microphones and they all have a little too much bass in them that give sort of that5 "big radio sound" and they are fantastic for podcasting, but not as neutral as I wanted and that's where this came in and filled this role PERFECTLY and I am extremely happy with it. IMO it sounds as good as a many microphones that cost upwards of $1000, so it's a real bargain I think! I'd absolutely recommend this if you want clear natural voice, and probably even for recording instruments it would work well too.

This mic sounds really good for spoken content but can sound pretty decent for vocals or instrument recording for those that don't have the budget for multiple microphones. The mic is extremely clean and clear but in my opinion lacks a little in dynamic range. I'm not going to copy and paste the specs, you can look those up if you'd like. I can tell you that the cardioid pattern works well at keeping background noise from bleeding through. This microphone looks really good and sounds equally well for the money. This mic has "pro" in the name and I would say that it is definitely entry level pro quality. It gets to a point where sound is subjective but this mic, Love it or leave it, has an excellent build quality and does what is does well.
