  • Amazing Quality and Perfomance
Style: White Cap 10'
First, let me just say that I am PETITE. I am 5'1" and 97 lbs. I am also a 53 year old athletic woman. I own a kayak and purchased this because it has become difficult getting the kayak in the water alone. So I was hoping this paddle board would become the ticket I needed to fill the need for me being able to get this in my car and the water ALONE. I am happy to report, it did the trick. I can now sell my Kayak. I received this 3 days earlier than expected. Which was good because I was upset I wasn't going to have it for the weekend, but I did. Although it was Prime, for some reason, after I purchased it, it said I would not have it until 5 days later. However, I did receive it two days after I ordered it. It was a good sign of things to come. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The box is big and pretty heavy. FedEx did a great job with delivery. Once I removed everything, I was delighted to see the quality of the paddle board. I saw some little bumps as another reviewer stated, but once inflated, they are gone. Even if they stayed, I would not have cared as the quality is exceptional regardless. As others stated, it was easy to pump up until the last 5 psi. It took about 20 minutes total. I suggest that in the end stretch, lock your arms and use the weight of your body to pump it. The pump is fine. It worked wonderfully. Nothing wrong with it. As I said, I'm 97 lbs. if I can handle it, an average size adult should not have a problem. Just lock your arms and use the weight of your body on the pump, not arm strength. Once inflated, I was blown away at the quality of this board. Keep in mind, this paddle board is 10 ft. It's a normal size paddle board. If your looking for a shorter board, this is not the one to purchase. It may be a bit lighter to carry, but it's a standard size board. Again, this board is SOLID! On the water today (I live in Fort Lauderdale so I took it out in the intercoastal which leads to the Atlantic Ocean). I was blown away at its performance. It was steady as can be. It maneuvered amazingly. The paddle was fine. It's not heavy (coming from a 97 lb woman). I used it both as Kayak style (without the seat) and standup. This board is buoyant as can be. It performed and maneuvered perfectly. This board is lighter than a normal board but it is still cumbersome. If you are my size and not in good shape, this board will be a handful. I say that because it's a regular size paddle board. It's not shorter. It's only a bit lighter. The only difference in this board and a non inflatable SUP is the weight. Other than that, you are getting a lighter paddle board of incredible quality. Go for it, you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • At first I was in love with it
Style: White Cap 10'
At first I was in love with it. I used it as a SUP a couple of times. But then I tried it as a kayak, and found that the way the seat is designed, the straps won’t extend long enough to accommodate my height—my knees are still bent at almost 90 degrees with my feet resting on the foot rest; not the best position for paddling. But worse than that, the one-way valve at the top of the hand pump started leaking (after only using it 4 times), so that I could only pump fast enough to get about 8 lbs of pressure into the board. (Note that the SUP inflation valve has a unique type of connector—it’s not like I can just use any old type of hand pump on this thing.) I called to ask if they could expedite another pump to me, but they require that I go online to fill out a claim, and it will take 2 weeks to get the replacement pump to me. I live in Oregon, and two weeks out of my summer is a lot! So, I’m quite disappointed with how this turned out. Hopefully the replacement pump will be more reliable. And I will probably just buy a separate kayak and use this as a SUP. UPDATE: 3 days into the process of trying to file a claim for a new pump, and still they haven’t processed my claim. It has gone this way: I filled out the on-line claim for at least 6 times. Each time I hit SEND, it would look for a few minutes as if it were actually sending the information. Then I would receive a message saying, “Unable to contact server. Please try again later.” I called the next morning during business hours and was told they had received my claim and were processing that. Later that night, I picked up an email saying they tried to call me (didn’t leave a VM, though!) because they needed confirmation that the pump was leaking. Really??? So they included a link in the email, which took me to an “Error” page. So this morning (day 3), I called AGAIN. Same rep from Day 1, but didn’t indicate if she remembered me. First she said the problem was that I didn’t include a picture of the broken piece when I submitted my claim. I pointed out that the pump doesn’t look broken, because it’s just an air leak in the valve. It’s not visible. Then she said the reason they need a picture is because they need the Batch number. I pointed out that I put the batch number on my claim form when I submitted it. She said, oh well but they need to see it on the pump. I said, which is it? Do they need confirmation that the pump is leaking, or do you need to see the broken part or the batch number on the pump? (And by the way, there IS NO batch number on the pump that I could find—the batch number is for the SUP itself.) She said, I’m sorry but we have to follow our process. I asked to speak to a supervisor because the process appeared to be broken and I wanted my replacement pump expedited, and she said they were all busy, and that I would just have to follow the process. I informed her I would just contact American Express and have the whole thing credited back to me, and I would package everything back up and drop it off at the Amazon return center. So, my previous 3-stars, is now down to a 1-star. I can understand that things go wrong, but when the company’s “claims process” doesn’t actually support helping the customer resolve an issue in a timely manner with a minimum of aggravation, then I don’t want to deal with them. I’ll just take my $300+ back, thank you very much. ... show more

  • Great purchase!
Style: Aqua Journey
I was skeptical at first—this board is very sturdy. I’m 5’9” about 160 and it’s perfect for my size. Don’t let inflatable scare you away. Once it’s inflated it is hard like a board and very sturdy. A great alternative to buying a 500-600 board. I used it on a river for the first time for about 2 hours. ... show more

  • 2 stars for now - Leaks at the actual Valve
Style: White Cap 10'
Board arrived this morning – on time. All the user feedback about the pressure valve leaking is accurate – you can’t get anywhere near 12lbs. I did manage to get 6 lbs into it after pumping very hard and then immediately disconnecting it. Bad news on the actual valve though. The outside edge of the grey valve (right where it meets the white plastic) of the board leaks steadily. They give you wrench to tighten it, but it does not stop leak. Just slows it down. I tested this with soapy water and I see bubbles forming. No amount of adjusting stops it. I will let it sit over night to see how much air comes over time. I have contacted the seller and at this point I do not recommend this product. ... show more
