It felt like paper and not in a good way. I like Chris cool cotton and it felt pretty terrible. I rinsed it then dried it and oh my gosh I am very very happy. When I took the Queen duvet cover out of the package I simply felt the fabric, loved it, then put it right into the wash. I was really bummed when I realized how small it was and it wouldn’t cover the mattress. So, now I have to pull it down to cover the mattress on the side that faces the doorway. So, to start, if you need your bedding softer than an angel's kiss, this is not the duvet set for you. soft bedding is great and all, but this is not that. nonetheless, i like it quite a bit! it has corner ties, which is very useful. also, it holds up well in the wash (so far) and i haven't noticed any color fading. the set is a deep, rich black. i also think it'll soften over time. the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because everything, and i mean EVERYTHING, sticks to it. i have a cat. enough said. ... show more

This duvet cover looks very similar to a super pricey cotton/linen blend one at PB. I washed this before using and it came out great. It’s just ‘wrinkly’ enough to give it the look of a linen blend without the price. The green is a very pretty sage color.

I used to have a microfiber duvet cover that I hated. The soft/fuzzy feel of microfiber was way too clingy for bed. I prefer smooth crisp bedding, and this is not that either. It's got a rather coarse weave and perpetually wrinkly look. On the bright side I like the color and it's not as clingy as microfiber. On the down side the texture is not great. It doesn't really feel like 100% cotton to me but I suppose I'll have to take the seller's word for it that it is. ... show more
