I really like this desk. I bought it on sale in ‘21 for $180, and have used it daily since then. The tabletop is fairly thin, but super study. I’ve had a dual monitor arm mounted(clamp) in the middle for the past year and a half and it shows no sign of sagging or stress from the weight of the arm and monitors. 30x60 is real nice if you’re looking for a lot of tabletop space, would recommend pairing a monitor arm mount of some kind for even more space/adjustability. I’ve gone through 3 moves now where each time I unscrewed the legs, and had to re-mount them once I moved to a new place and each leg is still sturdy, no wobbling even though the legs are held in by x5 screws each. Although it’s a bit more work, I’ve found using a hand screwdriver to tighten the screws for the legs works much better than a power drill since the pilot holes that are pre-drilled and are bit small(good thing though) as well as the leg’s size kinda prevents you from getting a good vertical angle with a drill. That or you just have to put a lot of pressure on the drill if you go that method. For the price it’s honestly a solid, sleek looking desk. I bought this to be a desk and I loved it so much I bought another for my dining room. It’s super sturdy. I stand on it when I’m changing light bulbs. And it looks so great. Plus there’s a ton of room underneath for storage. Well worth the cost. Assembly is a bit of a workout but it’s pretty simple.

It would have been a nice, sturdy table. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged (corner smashed). The Bestar customer service would not replace the table top. They said I had to get a replacement through Amazon. So I guess I'll just return it and look elsewhere. It's up to you if you want to risk getting a damaged table with no customer support or not.     • Large work space at a good price

The instructions indicate there are two models - one with fixed metal legs (what I bought) and one with electric adjustable legs. My review strictly applies to the fixed leg model (and I have a feeling some of the negative reviews apply to the electric model). It is simple and attractive - just a large black top (some kind of veneer over composite board) and four very sturdy metal legs. Each leg is one piece that screws into the table. I did not find it particularly difficult to screw in so I am not sure why some reviewers say they need a power drill for the screws. You should know the screw heads are star heads, not the more common flathead or Phillips, so you will need a star screwdriver. Thankfully I had one in my tool bag from a previous assemby job. The screws are close to the leg itself so if you have fat fingers you may find it a tight squeeze. Otherwise assembly is straightforward - just lay the table flat on the ground and set the leg on top while you screw it in (so the table is upsidedown for assembly). Once all four legs are in flip it over and you are done. (There are leveling twists at the bottom of each leg if your surface is uneven, but I didn't need to adjust them). The instructions say you need two people, but I was able to do it by myself (and am already using the table to type this). The only tricky part if you're alone is flipping it upright once the legs are in, but by flipping it on its side (resting on the side of two legs) then grabbing it and flipping the rest I was able to easily do it. I am tall, though, so someone who is shorter or not in good shape might need help getting it upright. Some people commented about damage to the tabletop and mine does indeed have a dinged corner. I put it against the wall and colored in the light compostite material with a black sharpie marker. It's fine for my home office and doesn't bother me, but if you are in a professional setting it might be a problem. The table is so inexpensive for it's size and sturdiness that I feel ok accepting a small ding, but just know enough people report it that it seems likely yours may come that way too. ... show more

Purchased this for my work-from-home desk. Perfect for those who want something simple that is heavy and sturdy enough to mount monitor arms to. The 30" depth helps a lot with monitor arms as well (most of the desks I looked at were only 23.5" deep). Arrived in perfect condition and it was easy to attach the legs. Yes, it's particle board with a veneer, but it looks quite nice and seems good quality. Love the weight and build quality for the price. ... show more

    • Difficult to assemble without power tools

The desk is really nice it's heavy and sturdy. The Desk comes in good packaging however the its hard to figure how to desk legs go because the holes aren't the same on every side. Also screwing in the screwing is extremely difficult and it takes a while unless you have power tools.
