These wrenches appear to by quite nice. I bought as a set of tools to carry in my vehicle. They come in a nice looking and functional case to keep them out of sight and not rolling around. Fortunately I have not had to use them so I assuming they will hold up and do the job.

I'm neither a mechanic nor a carpenter - just an ordinary homeowner who uses tools to fix things around the house and to put things together. I don't like adjustable wrenches because they are a nuisance to adjust and don't fit reliably. So I went looking for a set of crescent wrenches and found these. I am absolutely delighted with this set. Every size you could ever want in a handy dandy (and very well made) carrying case. I do have one Craftsman wrench to compare them to. The Craftsman (as you might expect from a quality, more expensive tool) are heavier and more smoothly polished. If you're a professional or highly skilled hobbyist, it might be worth it for you. But the wrenches in this set work just fine for me. They are sturdily made of drop forged steel and hold up extremely well to normal every day use. And the price is an absolute bargain. A note on the carrier that comes with them: I'm far more skilled at the sewing machine than I am at the work bench and confidently report that the carrier is well made out of actual fabric as opposed to fabric like paper. If, like some reviewers, you want the heavier tools but are looking for a case, the price would be reasonable just for that purpose. But you'll like the wrenches as well. ... show more

Great set! Coming from a handyman, what's not to like. I needed a durable and economical set that I can use and if I leave them in the car, or say they get stolen, so what. If you lend them out, which I don't, I'll usually help a friend out first instead of lending tools. But if I did, and they don't find there way back, it's OK I dint loose much. I own both Craftsman and S&K, (When S&K was made in the USA) yes, these sets are of higher quality but this is a great set and your not paying an outrageous price for them. You will recieve a set of 12 Sae and a set of 12 metric. The quality appears good and they feel solid in the hand. However, the finnish does feel a little rough aroungd the edges. The set arrived in a cool little red organizer pouch, that has eyelets on each corner, you can hang them up if you have a garage or keep them rolled up and stored under the rear seat. It's a decent set to have in case of an emergency and that's the main reason for this purchase, I've had my car broken into and all my quality tools and wrenches stolen, well never again. I gave this item 4 stars because I can't speak on longevity, but I don't have any complaints or regrets and I do recommend them. Just keep in mind what they are, an economical set that works! Wasn't so sure about these when ordering but it was a solid set with some wrenches that are harder to find in other sets, and it was an affordable price. No regrets. I've used them many times since and really happy to have them on hand when wrenching on the truck. They feel just as solid as wrenches I paid more for. ... show more

I don't turn wrenches much; if you see me with a wrench in my hands, chances are good I am in a bad mood. But I have a lot of equipment that needs to be tended to from time to time, and I like these because they pretty much cover all the sizes I run into, and the wrap keeps them together and easy to get to when I use them. They do what I need them to do, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I have toolboxes full of Snap-on and Craftsman tools, and they will probably outlast these, but when I just want to grab some tools and go, these are the ones I grab, and if one gets lost or "borrowed." Pros: - appears to be good quality - wrenches stay in roll "slots" or "pouches" fairly well; tight enough to stay put, yet loose enough to remove/place the tools back. - good value based on price vs. number of wrenches; quality; storage roll Cons: - they are big?; larger than I was anticipating; not really a con, so I am stretching here to find something negative. - too large to really fit in my "mobile" toolbox without removing a number of items to make room (stretching again) - of course 24 wrenches AND storage bag are going to take up a decent amount of space! Conclusion: I'd buy again on overall value. I would recommend to others depending upon their need(s). Please note: the individual wrenches are NOT larger than normal or expected; my mental image of the size of a 10 piece wrench set is what I had in my head, and I went and bought 24 wrenches, with probably 8 of those being larger than my previous set of wrenches. I recently 'lost' a craftsman roll of approximately 10-12 piece combination wrench set (somehow walked out of my house, possibly with some recent contractors present). I was looking for a replacement, and thought I'd "upgrade" to get more wrenches, etc. I obviously wasn't thinking, because this set is just too many and too large to carry around as an 'extra' item in my small Dewalt cloth toolbag that I use to store miscellaneous tools, for miscellaneous tasks around the house, yard, and/or car. My ~10 piece craftsman set was perfect for this. I have an entire socket set with maybe 50 pieces for anything specific or more serious. What I may do is see if i can find a smaller roll-up storage pouch and fill with the most common sizes used from this set to carry around in my misc toolbag. I do have multiple adjustable wrenches, but just prefer a solid combination wrench is all. Quality of the individual wrenches and the storage bag itself seem good. No complaints. I have seen other wrenches in the past that have 'pitting' or other casting/chroming issues/flaws, but this set seemed great... no complaints at all. ... show more
