I absolutely LOVE this bareback pad! It's extremely light & easy to use. The girth that comes with it seemed a little small when I unboxed it, but the straps are generous and I have plenty of extra room for my horse (15.3hh) to fatten up into. The non slip girth and bottom of the pad itself keep it from slipping around. No joke, I think I could ride this thing without the girth if I need to! It's that grippy! The pockets are generous, and while the drink bottle doesn't seem like it'll last for the life of the pad, it's nice to have now and the pocket should fit another bottle easily. My favorite part is the padding inside. It's firm and doesn't shift around. It's not hugely thick, but it's dense enough. And thanks to the generous girth you could put another pad underneath if you needed to. My horse and I agreed: fabulous comfortable ride. This is my favorite bareback pad of all time. ... show more

This thing is great. A real workhorse of bareback pads. This is my first bareback pad and originally I wanted a suede one but I think I made a great choice here in terms of value for price. It's grip on my 15.3hh qh (who usually fits a standard QH bar or wide fit western saddle) is great. Cinch has room for him to get fatter tho that's not in our 10 year plan. Cinch fits my more mutton-withered 14.3hh QH, too. Definitely won't fit on the 12hh pony though. Water bottle holder n little pockets are brilliant. Strap up front great for assist in swinging up but doesn't grind on the crotch when you're riding. I got tan and I like the color. Pretty much true to color from the photos. I spent a lot of time shopping around and will be spending many a mile on this thing, and I anticipate it lasting a really, really long time with just basic care ... show more

I normally stay away from using bareback pads because I've used a couple that slid around on me too much. But this one stayed in place even when my horse was sweating. Plus it has just enough cushion to be comfortable without being too bulky, and the pockets are a nice touch.

I can’t say enough good things about this pad!! It stays in place. It is easy to use. Easy to clean. It has a great price point!!! I looked a several pads and this has the best price. It fit horses perfectly. It’s performance when you ride is great!! It has rubber backing so no slipping back while you ride. It has a nice cinch. I have had other bareback pads and nothing compares to this pad!! It’s made well and not cheap material. I would suggest not to use a bareback pad if you want to hold on to balance yourself to stay on horse, that’s the purpose of a saddle. ... show more

I liked the way this pad was soft & flexible to my horse's back. The suede topside helps keep your seat in place. Good thing it comes with a girth otherwise I don't know where you'd find a single buckle girth. I don't like that the strap goes up & around the back potentially creating a pressure point on my horse's spine when the girth is tightened. The pockets are great for putting stuff in there when trail riding, water bottle it comes with is cheesy. Not sure how well it will breathe in hot weather, it's quite large & covers a lot of the back. ... show more

I took this pad out on a 3 mile, steep incline, steep decline, mountainous trail, and it was AMAZING! We had an 800 foot elevation gain over 1.5 miles and this pad stayed PUT. My big girl is half Percheron, half Quarter and I am 5’8” and weigh 260lbs. This pad stayed in place under me, stayed in place with her sweating profusely, stayed in place coming down steep, snowy, icy hills. I’d buy this pad over again and again! I washed it afterwards, hung it to dry by the fire and it is as good as new! We did swap out girths because the one it came with wouldn’t fit Betty, added a breast collar, and it was seriously perfect! This is such a great product. Although I didn’t get any pictures of the pad, I did add a picture of Betty… the only dry spot was under my butt. She worked hard and that pad didn’t move at all. ... show more
