  • Best Clippers Out There!!
My senior dog HATES getting nails done. No one will do it because even with a muzzle he is super scared. As you can see his nails were curling under they were so long. I have tried everything to clip his nails and nothing worked.....until these! I have been clipping small amount the last couple of days and he doesn’t like it but he has not tried to kill me! His nails are very thick and hard to cut and usually I have to use 2 hands with a regular clipper (which is nearly impossible with his temperament). I can use one hand and that makes all the difference! I highly recommend these so much!! I am so thankful I have almost cried- Thank you thank you thank you! ... show more

  • Awesome for large dogs!!
I am super picky with what clippers I use since I work in a grooming shop, and these were so different so I got them to try. It took a dog or 2 to get a comfortable grip or figure out how to hold them right but they cut the nails like butter! I absolutely love them. There’s nothing worse than having a large Shepherd on the table and having clippers that you have to squeeze with all your might to clip through the nail. Not with these, just a quick clip and clean cut! Totally recommend them! ... show more

  • Great clipper for difficult dog
Very pleased with these clippers so far. Our dogs hate having their nails clipped and it's normally a struggle to get one paw done. Clippers are sharp and support the nail in a way that even our most difficult dog was able to have all his nails trimmed without a fight

  • Pretty sharp but..
They do not open fully after cutting the nail, I have to physically open them every time, there is no spring to open them after cutting the nail and to move on to the next nail. They do seem fairly sharp and cut well but very disappointed in the design, there should be a spring to open them. I do like that they is a guard plate behind the blade to prevent from cutting too much nail at one time especially on dogs that move their feet while trying to cut the nail. ... show more

  • It’s like cutting butter!
I never leave reviews, but this is life saving! I have an English mastiff with thick black nails and I’ve always had issues with cutting her nails and her allowing me to cut her nails. She pulled back the first cut but then relaxed and LET ME CUT ALL OF THEM! There was no flattening of her nails, just cut right through! I’m impressed! ... show more

  • Best on Market
I have a 13lb mix dog with black nails. She hates having her nails cut and will try and pull away. I don’t blame her; I have accidentally cut to far and made her bleed a couple times. Given the opportunity I would have the groomer when giving her a bath do it or have the veterinarian do it because I feel so bad. Not anymore after buying these. It did take me a minute to navigate them since they are so large for such a smaller size dog, but once I got the hang of them it was smooth sailing. They are the easiest and smoothest cutting clippers I have ever used. I don’t think I will ever use a different brand ever again. I was obviously buying complete junk before. I have cut my dogs nails several times since purchasing these and am writing a review now because they are so amazing. My little dog no longer struggles when I cut her nails. Partly because I am not so nervous that I will cut to far now because I am in better control with these clippers, they cut more smoothly, and have yet to cause any breakages. She is my first dog and I have been cutting her nails since she was a puppy for three years now. Before this I only owned cats with clear nails. This is not a solicited review, I paid full price and they are worth every penny. ... show more

  • Handles my German Shepherd's nails quick, easily, and painlessly.
The clippers are large, but that's because they are made for large dogs and they get the job done with very little hassle. Once I found the best way to hold them and handle them, they made quick work of my dog's nails without splitting them or taking excessive force. Trimmers I used in the past that were marketed for large dogs and being sharp would take tremendous effort just to cut through one nail, but these were as easy as snip, snip, snip, and a treat for a reward. They work so well in fact that I used them to trim the nails of both my cats as well, and somehow the process ended up being quicker and easier than with my usual cat nail trimmers. Needless to say, as long as you don't find them unwieldy due to the size and weight, they are great for any size dog. My cats prefer them now because it makes the process so much shorter for them and doesn't split or damage their nails. On a side note, the added features (nail file, quick guard/catch tray, etc.) were not important to me when I bought the trimmers. I didn't have any issue with these features getting in the way, as any function I didn't want was either stored in the handle out of the way or, in the case of the catch tray, once twisted out of the path of the blades it stayed out of my way. I'm perfectly satisfied with basic cutting nails and being done with it. All in all, these worked great. The craftsmanship is sturdy enough I expect to get my money's worth out of them, but I would imagine if used in a commercial setting, they may wear out or break under the intense use. Frankly, even if they break tomorrow, I'd buy another pair. ... show more

  • Basically, It's A Design Over Function Clippers
This "Swiss- Army" clipper's different shaped handles are not convenient for left-handed users. The hidden comb and nail-file are not useful to me. The cutting guard ought to be flat, rather than concave, next to the cutters. This would ensure that the quick isn't cut. I flattened the guard in a vice, but it cracked in the process. Still, the cracked, flattened guard did work well, allowing for the removal of short, quick avoiding clippings as we work back the overly long claws of our recently adopted dog. The cutting blades don't open very far and had to be slipped over the tips of our dog's claws rather like a ring. All that said, the cutter is sharp and the length of the handles provided good leverage for my right-handed wife to do the cutting while I distracted our dog with treats. Still, I'm yet searching for an outstanding dog nail clippers as these are really not the best... I hope. ... show more
