This is a nice reasonably priced children’s kitchen set. It’s not super heavy, but it seems durable enough. One thing I didn’t like was the cupboards were a little hard to open. We solved the problem by attaching small pull straps to them so my one and a half year-old grandson can open them easily. I would suggest also anchoring it to the wall because it is light enough for a strong baby to push it around, which our strong baby likes to do. (I guess he thinks it’s a food cart.) I love the color and it looks really nice where we have it put in our living room which doubles as a playroom. It’s also a compact size, a real, plus. This kitchen is very cute and my grandson loves it! The instructions were clear and easy to follow; just be prepared that it will take some time to put it all together (3-4 hours). There were a couple of things that could be improved on (as others have suggested). The door "handles" are hard for little ones to grip and pull with enough force to actually open the doors. To fix this, we did not install the plastic door catches, and the doors stay closed just fine on their own! This makes it SO much easier for little ones to open them (note: for the microwave cabinet, you do want to install the one on the right-side panel because it will stop the door from closing INTO the cabinet). For the bottom cabinet and oven door, none are necessary (there is a wall divider that stops them)! The other thing we did differently is we left the hood piece off in favor of an extra shelf. We did put the bottom piece of it on just to give it a finished look. ... show more

Perfect Christmas gift for a 2/3 year old! It was my daughter’s favorite gift. She plays with it all day! It’s also very pretty, and the wood feels sturdy. It’s relatively small which can be great for small spaces! I have a few things to note. I do wish that there was a little more open counter space. Just about every inch of the counter is covered by something, (burners, sink) so you can’t really add on to the set with other play appliances because there isn’t room. A 2 year old doesn’t care though. I also wish the range next to the microwave opened for extra storage. Don’t quite get why it doesn’t. Lastly I wish the cabinet for the oven opened like an oven.
