Kit is adorable, kids LOVE it, ... ages 2.5 yrs to 9 yrs. lol ... the reason 4 stars: the foot pedals, the bass drum pedal, not great. and the high hat, ... not great. high hat could be better built and thus work better, but foot pedals just are not made well. i'll set the kids up with my Ludwig bass drum pedal. but am unsure yet what to do with the high hat. ... shipping, a nightmare. this seller ships with FEDX and they are nothing short of horrible. showed up too late for the bday party even with amazon assuring (right, not!), it would show up on time. nope. 3 days late. FEDX has never shipped anything to us ok UPS does. smh. seller needs to "not" use FEDX to ever ship anything ever again. so 4 stars. otherwise, kit is pretty darling for little ones. lol and cute as heck. <g'ma>

Got this set for my son's 9th birthday - he has just started drum lessons. I was concerned it was intended for a younger kid, but my son is on the smaller side, and I didn't want to spend like $400. It's a good set, seems completely adequate for a beginner of any age - not too small at all. I had a little trouble with the directions, since I am not a drummer and wasn't familiar with some of the terminology - his drum teacher had to adjust a few things.

My mind is officially blown. I have been a musician for over 40 years and have a lot of experience with musical instruments, including drums. I don't know how this company can produce such an amazing little drum set for under $190. The parts are high quality, from the wooden drum shells to the metal hardware and even the drum heads are way better than I expected. Assembly was quick and easy, and my wife and I couldn't resist playing them for a bit, even though they are actually a Christmas present for our Granddaughters. They sounded great! Awesome little beginner's drum set and highly recommended!

This a real drum set for kids, not a toy. It has very good sound, though it can get loud at full swing, especially for kids. It looks great, it’s relatively easy to assemble, and it’s very well priced in case your kids may go from playing these drums as toys, to actually start learning to play them for real.
