I read tons of reviews about this table and waited for many months of watching the price move around before committing to buying it. It was packaged well and a breeze to assemble. The wood does appear to be unfinished, so I coated it in polyurethane to help protect it. Our 21 mo old and his friends have had quite a bit of fun playing with the tubs in the middle of the table, both with sand and also just filled with water. I bought this product because I was looking for a water/sand table and a picnic table for my 4 year old to enjoy this summer. I never expected to find all 3 of those products in 1 so I was excited when I found this. I liked the positive reviews, the look of the table, and the price so I ordered it. I don’t have Prime but the delivery was still hassle free and timely. It was really neatly packaged, the instructions were clear, and the included hardware was organized. It did not come with too many parts as the table top itself is already assembled. It could definitely be assembled by one person; the wood is lightweight and the table itself is not very large. I could most definitely have put it together myself in 20 minutes but my husband was bored and looking for a project so we got it put together in 10 minutes working together with two screwdrivers. As I mentioned, the table is not very large. I can’t see my daughter using this past the age of 5 or so. The weight limit says 220 pounds but the overall sturdiness of the table has me questioning that. It does not wobble or seem unsafe in any way but the wood is so light and just.. tiny that I’m not sure it would hold up. The plastic bins which are included fit snugly into the tabletop yet are easily removed. The umbrella is such a welcome addition to guard my daughter from the sun. It is very lightweight and easy to fold up so we have been taking it inside when the table is not in use for fear it will blow away. If you are putting this table on dirt/softer ground, the bottom of the umbrella is shaped like a stake so it may stay put. The tabletop lid has slatted wood so I would advise taking out whatever sensory materials you’ve got in the bins (we pack up our materials and bring the bins inside so they don’t get too dirty but I think turning them upside down with the tabletop lid will keep them fairly clean). Overall I would recommend this for children 5 and younger. My daughter is so pleased with this table and spent most of the day outside the first day we had it. We used kinetic sand for our sensory material but you could use any number of things; water, rice, water beads, anything you can think of! I knocked off a star for the sturdiness because the wood is so soft and light and I do not trust the 220lb weight limit. ... show more

As the headline states: this was very easy to put together! It only took me about 30 minutes of light work to get it all put together. Just make sure you have 2 philips screwdrivers along with a power drill for the seats. So easy, and very sturdy! The kids love it and it looks great.

This picnic table has been fantastic for my 4 and 2 year olds. They have used it almost daily for months and has held up great. It was very simple to assemble, and my kids are able to take the top center piece off and put back on, depending on their needs. The umbrella is a nice add on and is also easy to pop in or out and open and close. We have used the table top for easy crafts and eating and have used the inside bins for water beads, sand, kinetic sand, and water play. It has held up great so far!
