  • Read before buying - IT LEAKS!!!!
Purchased in either December or January but only just now assembled. First things first. The building instructions don't make much sense. It would be easier and make much more sense to connect the arches last. Also, don't completely tighten your bolts as you go. You'll need to loosen them later if you do. You'll also need a wrench (10mm) and a socket wrench to build this although the instructions don't tell you this. Next, the cover is really easy to put on but it is sewn too tightly at the bottoms in the corners to sit flush with the ground. This made staking a little difficult. Speaking of stakes, the ones that come with this kit are literally just bent pieces of aluminum. We staked in good weather and still found the whole structure 10 ft away from where we put it because the first wind that blew bent the stakes and yanked them out of the ground. We never did find 3 of them. You'll need to get actual camping stakes to keep this sucker anchored. You'll also need at least 4 sand bags. 2 days after building, we had a 21mph gust of wind and again, we found the thing several ft away from where we left it. We went and bought 200 lbs of sand bags and real stakes that same day. So far, there have been no further mishaps with it regarding the wind. Just to give you an idea, I'm 5'6, 140 lbs and I moved the entire built structure on my own easily. It is very light. I cannot stress this to you enough. You will absolutely HAVE to get real stakes and sandbags of you want to keep this on your property. I bought 12" camping stakes for $1 each at my local hardware store and 4, 50 lb sandbags for $5 each. So plan to spend an extra $25 USD or so to secure this thing. Onto the cover - as I stated above, the cover was relatively easy to put on. However, the velcro straps on the inside to secure the cover to the structure itself, weere sewn on backwards and upside down. Not really a big deal - you just have to twist each strap so they're facing the proper way and secure them like that. My biggest complaint (and not even really a complaint, just an observation so everyone else who buys this knows ahead of time,) the seam on the cover that's at eye level - it goes all the way around both sides of the structure and runs about 1/3 of way down from the top - this seam leaks. Badly. As you can see in my photos, I have 4 raised beds directly under that seam (seam is highlighted by the red line in the last photo) and even though there is only a light drizzle (glasses wearers - in the 3 minute walk to the greenhouse, I got no rain on my glasses if that tells you how light it is) and yet the beds under that seam are completely flooded. I checked the seam all the way around and the entire thing leaks horribly. I'm going to cover it with flex tape once it's dry. Today marks 5 days since it's been up and it's holding up well. I'm very pleased with this purchase but as with most other hothouse/greenhouse kits, you'll need to improvise a bit. Other notes: The ties are the door and windows are very uneven. There are sides on 2 windows that I can't tie up because the straps are too short to utilize. The zipper for the door is sewn on crooked so when you go to zip it, it gets stuck on the plastic on either side so you really have to take your time. Last but not least, the cover won't go on perfectly straight no matter how many times you adjust it. This being due to the fact that the whole thing was sewn cockeyed. This is unimportant but if you have ocd, it'll get under your skin. There is about a 2" gap from the cover to the ground at the front corners but even with that being so, I have yet to find any bugs inside. In case you weren't aware, it gets ridiculously hot in this thing. (That should be a given but you just never know with some people.) It was 84°F at 59% humidity outside yesterday and 131°F st 66% humidity inside the greenhouse with all windows and doors closed. That being said, be careful that the plants you're putting in there like extreme heat and humidity. Speaking of extreme heat, the windows allow for a decent cross breeze. Opening them up dropped the temp by 17°F. Opening the door up along with the windows dropped the temp a total of 24°F. Overall, I think this is a great purchase for the price. The wrench, good stakes and sandbags are an absolute MUST with this structure. Keep this in mind! ... show more

  • Buy this Greenhouse, you won't regret it.
Update 2022: The winter killed my first and second greenhouse, this is my third. But keep in mind, I live in a very windy spot and I use this for goats, which inherently try to destroy everything. That is their job. Having built three of these now, here are my assembly tips: 1. connect all the pieces FIRST with zip ties. This will make assembling them much easier. Once everything is assembled, check the directions to confirm what poles should be on the outside of other poles, and then assemble them with the nuts and bolts provided. I super glue the nuts in place. This keeps them from backing out during windy conditions. This year I am also going to attach the frame to a 4x4 base and wrap the trap under this base so that the wind can not get underneath and make a kite out of it. Lastly, I use three lengths of webbing that goes over the top from left to right. The ties that they provide to hold the tarp to the frame rip right out, so this webbing will keep the frame and tarp together. Because I use this for goats, I also put a length of hog panel on the inside on all three sides. This keeps the goats from blowing out the sides by rubbing against them. It provide a nice dry, sunny spot for the goats to hang out during the harsh winters. And even at 150$ a pop, plus modifications.... it is a ton cheaper than a run-in shed. Update 2021: For the record, my first greenhouse (see review below) is still alive and kicking. The goats have blown out the windows, and it is a little weepy when it rains hard, but other than that, it is still hanging in as a goat run-in. Two Vermont winters, and we live in a very windy spot. But because I had a buck coming, I converted the first greenhouse into a buck house, and gave the does a brand new one (purchased 2021). It took me about an hour to assemble it by myself, and the instructions were much clearer. All the pieces were there. I did have one issue, one side of the front zipped up and down, but the other side had no actual "zipper thingy". So it could not be unzipped. Or rezipped if that were the case. And that just was not going to work with my situation where I need to be able to close it or open it. I emailed the company through the Amazon contact, and heard back with 24 hours. Within 48 hours they had completely, and very POLITELY, resolved my issue. I have already told my other goat friends about using this as a goat run in shed. I will always use this as a goat run in shed. And a greenhouse. And I've used it as a quail house. The quality is high, the cost is reasonable, and they really do stand behind their product. I can not say enough positive things. The End. I purchased this greenhouse in 2019 (it is now 2021) to hold seedlings. It did the job well. Seedlings in the ground, this was no longer needed, and in the garage it went. Then, I needed something to cover my open-air quail cage in the winter, and this thing did the job. Kept the quail nice and cozy, snow-free. Sold the quail, and in the garage the greenhouse went. THEN the big test. I needed a temporary shelter for my goats during the winter of 2020/2021. Now let me tell you, goats destroy everything. I also live in VT and winters are really tough. I figured...if it works a couple of weeks, that is a couple weeks the goats can get out of the barn. Well you know what, the thing lasted all winter. ALL WINTER with feet and feet of snow, blowing blizzards, ice, sleet, hail. AND 6 goats. Sure, the goats blew out all the windows and chewed the zipper, but for the most part, this thing is still standing and I intend to use it this coming winter. Very impressive. I feel like buying another one just to make sure I have one on hand when this thing eventually dies. ... show more

  • Great fro the price
I bought this as a Christmas present for my parents so we could have a place for starting plants this year and we have have a variety of different weather from strong winds to heavy rain we made a few modifications by sealing the seams and anchoring it down with really good tent stakes and placing mulch around it and inside putting lights inside etc. The only complaint I have is it doesn't hold heat very well just by itself but it is a cheap greenhouse and you get what you pay for ... show more

  • Has a screw loose
One of the screws was shorter than the rest and I just had to go to the hardware store and get a proper length screw and nut to fix it. You MUST use the stakes or the wind will carry it off.
