I installed this on a small touring bike for my girlfriend - she is petite and the stock handlebar on her touring bike (420 or 430 mm) was too wide for her shoulders, causing arm, neck, and shoulder pain after a few miles. This is a classic bike fit issue - stock handlebars don't fit everyone! The bar is of good quality - not super light nor heavy - and went on the bike as expected. It is a "standard drop, not a flared drop as found on some touring handlebars. I also changed the stem, but that is a separate item. I believe this came from Mainland China - not my Country of Origin preference, I try to buy USA, but it was what I could find these days (during pandemic times, bikes and components are difficult to find in stock regardless of CoO - we are all learning about the "supply chain"). ... show more

Needed to replace the 42cm wide bars that came with the bike with someone narrower. Bike store had nothing in narrow width at a 'try it out' price. These installed fine with no issues. First ride took them 42 miles with no pain or numbness which was awesome compared to the stock bontrager bars.

Was on the market for a black drop bar that would not break the bank but would be both ergonomic and lightweight and this item did just that. The bar drop is sold by itself. The one pictured was customized with new break shifters and leather tape. If you have an idea of how you’d like to customize your drop bar this item will make a great start.
