I recently installed the Berta 4-Pack Full Overlay Cabinet Door Hinges in my kitchen, and I’m thoroughly impressed. Right out of the box, the hinges felt solid and well-made, with a durable, quality finish. The soft-close feature works like a charm—no more cabinet doors slamming shut. The 105-degree opening angle gives excellent access to the contents inside. Installation was surprisingly simple, even for a DIYer like myself. The included screws saved me a trip to the hardware store, and everything lined up perfectly with my face frame cabinets. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made the job go much quicker than I expected. I had all four hinges installed in under an hour. Kitchen cabinet door hinges do close softly but when you open the doors they do slam into the other doors. The screws that come with them are not great they kept breaking we had to use our own screws.

They perfectly the worn-out non-soft closing hinges on oak doors and cabinet frames that had been used for years in a rental house. I ordered two orders of 50 and a couple in the group were damaged (bent) or missed QA. But I had anticipated some being bad so the 100 were a few more than I needed and I had spares. Great upgrade, the soft closing feature works well and the default adjustment settings were nearly perfect right out of the box. Only had to tweak a couple of them to get the bottoms of the doors to sit level and line up. Overall satisfied but a star knock-off for some of the hinges in the batch being bad. Screws came in one bag, which had torn but they were all there in the box.

I really wanted to like these. Price point is great, and tons of great reviews. I am buying as a replacement for the Blum 70t555, and was looking for something that would just clip on to my Blum bases. Unfortunately, this didn't fit the Blum bases. So no worries, these come with a base, right? The downside is these bases are pretty flimsy, think stamped sheet metal. I decided I could live with a flimsly base, it will still work, right? I noticed then that replacing a single hinge on each regular sized cabinet door wouldn't enable the "soft close" feature, I would need to replace BOTH hinges. I guess the spring isn't strong enough. By comparison, the Blum soft close clip on (71B3550, you're welcome!) I purchased to test out closed slowly just replacing ONE hinge each cabinet (and can be found for around $3.95). Given the price point, flimsy base I would have to use, and the fact that I would have to double the amount of hinges I was replacing, I decided to return and just go with the Blum replacement.
