I bought this primarily for scooping out dirt, Peat Moss, compost, etc out of bags, and it's great for that, but will also use it for planting. It's nice and sturdy, too - a very nice tool.

I know but I did buy this as a toy for my 4yo. He loves that it is so much bigger than garden toys and I see him whacking it on pinecones and hard rocks in the dirt. It is solidly made and just what I wanted for him.

Handy Tool for the Garden.

This has various uses and is very sturdy. I use it to transplant seedlings, to layout a small furrow between onions (to add fertilizer). It works well when harvesting onions/garlic to pop out the bulbs.

Hard to find product and it’s gone again

It’s really hard to find a good quality garden trowel that is wide, has a pointed tip and at least one serrated edge. The only things that prevented this from being the perfect tool are no padding on the handle and two serrated edges are better than one. Other than that it’s held up really well in a
professional setting and is very strong when I have to use it with some leverage. BUT I am very disappointed that I came back to buy another and it’s not available any more. Why is it so hard to find this type of trowel? I liked and used OXO Good Grips brand trowels for many years and they were discontinued. Sigh.

Perfect gift for a gardener

This is a tough little tool! I bought it for planting as I have very tough soil where I live. Now, I use it for everything. Planting, weeding and for things I am sure it wasn't made for! I'll probably get another one, just in case I need a backup! Great tool!
