Were easy to assemble. They feel mostly sturdy, but they have only experienced light use as sitting stools for an easel. Have definitely told my kiddos *not* to stand on these as they feel a tad wobbly and prone to tipping freshly assembled. I love these. I am not a large person at only 5'6 160, so I unfortunately need help with stools sometimes. I was also able to even sit on this thing...and it felt fine. (although I have a tailbone issue so the seat was a bit firm, so I tried it with one of my tailbone cushions on top....surprisingly decent.) In terms of of big, strong, sturdy, how high off the ground etc., it was fine for me to even sit in for a little while, and it easily held my 160 lbs. Its also of course pretty cute, and has a very nice, slightly glossy finish to it, as well the wood is nicely done and has a slightly glossy smooth finish. Some stools I have tried were rough, or not as well made, ended up having un-even joints, so not level, not as nice a finish etc. This was the nicest set of stools I have had yet. Extremely happy with it. As I can use one to place an air purifier or fan on, and use the other as my stool, (and occasional chair ?) I checked with a level device and it was pretty level, as the carpet was the only thing leaving a slight change in the bubble level. Other stools with 3 legs had problems being level at all, not being able to hold enough weight, or both. As well as the mentioned roughness/less quality. So this stool can do all of those things, and at a very affordable price. Its also so sturdy...that it can support up to 200 lbs. So it can be used as an all-around stool for the kitchen/family/whatever, if you have no one over 200 lbs in the household. (or for everyone else.) As it looks nice, you can place it almost anywhere, and as its so sturdy and strong, you can use it for pretty much anything, as long as its under 200lbs of weight. And lastly, it was extremely easy to put together, takes about 1 minute, no tools needed. Just tighten the legs into the bottom, and thats it. I suggest wearing some grip gloves so you can get a real good grip and get it nice and tight...super easy and done in 60 seconds. So pleasantly surprised with my new stool set...easy recommend, will easily hold up with kids, and esp 2 for this price (I want to get another actually). ... show more

The package came with two stools. Each stool is made of natural wood. They are sturdy and strong. They can be used not only for kids but also for grown-ups for it can bear the weight up to 300lbs. I find they are so easy to assemble. All you need to do is to screw the legs into the stool, and no tools are needed. I would have given the product a 5-star rating. However, the paint on the stools had a very strong smell when I opened the package. Therefore, a 4-star rating is given to the stools. I would still recommend this product. ... show more

A lot heavier than I expected, which is nice. It seems to be made of solid wood and has a nice finish to it. Very easy and fast to assemble. Make sure it's screwed all the way until it's flush with the seat. The only downside to this is that the bottom of the legs touching the floor is not flush to the floor as you can see in the picture. It's tilted and when you sit on it, it feels like it kind of slides around a bit. So be careful when you use it on hard floor. ... show more
