This helmet is amazingly comfortable. I've only tried it on, but it fits perfectly and is very comfortable. I am using it to ride, what is essentially a mobility scooter that doesn't go very fast. I needed a secure and protective helmet. It does come with the extra longer face shield. Ill be curious to try both when riding. Wish they'd had the blue tint one, but it was unavailable. The padding is good, very comfort but I think the helmet is for round head shaped (like the Shark helmet) and I need an oval shaped fit. Had an accident on my e bike, handlebars hit my chest absorbing a lot of it, and I messed up my hand and elbow, but this helmet helped a lot. My cheek is tender but the rim of the helmet took most of the head blow. I also distinctly remember my face pressed against the visor on the road. I was going 20mph up a hill. Would have loved this helmet. Every single thing about it is amazing. However I have an extra tiny head and thought the small size would fit based on the measurements I took according to their directions. I measured 21 1/4” which is the smallest for the small size but unfortunately it is way too big for my tiny child size noggin. Why did you pick this product vs others?: It Looks good and is lighter weight. Conn: the inner visor comes down to far and gets stuck. If it stopped just 1/8 of an inch higher it would fix this. Still looks good and meets DOT.
