    • Check and inspect before throwing packaging away!
I had a very disappointing experience. I expected the best from Sam Ash. My always go to store in Manhattan, Cherry Hill NJ, and wherever I would find one. The Best! Then, this happened. My Sax came in with poor packaging and damaged on the outside. Parts were defective in two places. It took time to unwrap and assemble before I noticed the damage {I was excited to start playing} and time to put it back as I got it. I even placed the rubber pad cushions exactly where they were when opened. Sadly, I had to schlep it to the UPS and return. Then wait for my refund. 9 days. I doubt I will buy from them again. I feel they did not inspect it and the awful packaging surprised me. Maybe it was a return and they passed it on to me? Those are my thoughts. I wish them well. Times have changed. ... show more

The sax has the features as shown in the picture, the picture is an accurate display of the saxophone. It is easy blowing and the keys are easy to reach and press. It comes with only one reed so buy a box of reeds with the order. The mouthpiece is a close version of a Yamaha 4C and will work fine until you get further acquainted with this saxophone's nature. Sax is solid and feels as such when I play it. It is very much like a Yamaha in it's playing, tone, and accurate tuning and would make a very good choice for the student or as a backup for a pro. I feel this sax is a step up from the average imported sax and it has some unique features. Notice in the photos, there are tiny adjustment screws on the rods for timing of the keys. This saves a lot of time and aggravation when a key is not closing tight or is too tight. It's a very well put together sax and was setup to play right away. I am pleased with the purchase and don't see any reason that would change. ... show more

    • Don't buy this one. You will want to quit sax!
This was very out of tune. It was not an Eb alto. It actually tuned a C with a piano C. It's wasn't cheap looking or anything, just hard to play, pads didn't seal, wrong key.

Lo compré para mi hijo de 11 años a lo que le llegaba su saxofón yamaha. Mi hijo lo dominó bien, no es complicado de tocar. Es hermoso al igual que el sonido. No se mucho de música. Vino bien empacado.
