Bought this because it has the additional V-slot pin. On arrival, the V-slot base is too large to fit into the anvil's slot (it's 2/10ths of an inch thicker than its unslotted cousin). Not sure how you let something like this ship with a manufacturing error like this , but that's what I received.

    • Wood doesn’t fit the notch
I had to saw down the wood to make sure it fit in the notch correctly. The wood also is a bit thinner than the notch so it jumps around quite a bit unless you have a strong hand on it. It’s great value for a bench pin though

    • Rusty surface and bench pin slot slanted
The slot for the bench pin was slanted, not level. The finish is a rubbery coating that was not applied well and had a few sharp and high points. The actual anvil portion had a dozen mail head sized rust spots.
