    • Reasonable price; fits like a dream

First of all, we riders all know that motorcycle helmets can run a wide range of costs, and (intuitively) 'you get what you pay for,' right? With that being said, I wanted a helmet with a reasonable price (under $200), one that was a trusted 'name brand,' one that was at least DOT (--but not necessarily SNELL) certified, and most of all, one that FIT my gargantuan head. (I'm a big guy, 6'4", 250 lbs.). I've owned 3-4 full face helmets, including my most recent, a HJC that was a Size 2XL, that fit snugly, just right. Nevertheless, I measured the widest part of my head, at the forehead, and chose a Bell Qualifier DLX full-face Blackout helmet, from Amazon. According to the dropdown box for sizing, I required 2XL (same as my HJC), which happened to be the largest size available for this helmet. Fine, I ordered it. It arrived (I'm an Amazon Prime member) three days later. But, unfortunately, I was disappointed that the 2XL simply did not fit my head--WAY too small. It wouldn't even fit over my ears for my head to get all the way inside. My next move was to check out similar helmets, like this Bell Qualifier--which was available in THREE-XL. Lo-and-behold, this helmet (in 3XL) turned out to be absolutely PERFECT! It fits on my head, and is the perfect 'snugness': not too tight and not too loose (if I 'shake my head around', the helmet doesn't move around my head at all). I get a feeling of my head being well-protected. It's not the most expensive helmet on the market, but it's not a 'cheapie' either. It's DOT certified, a name brand and, most of all, it fits like a dream! The lesson learned is that different helmet manufacturers have different sizings. Hopefully, it doesn't boil down to 'trial and error' as it did for me, in this case. Nevertheless, all I can do is submit this review that my Bell helmet is excellent. And if you need a 2XL (or whatever size), with a price that won't 'break the bank', and you're considering a helmet made by Bell, order 'one size larger' than what it seems you'll need --and you won't be disappointed. My experience in this case was a slight bit of trouble (having to return the first helmet, which was a 'free return'), but it was worth it in the end.     • Great inexpensive option for beginners
I purchased this as my first helmet about a year ago and I still enjoy using this helmet. The visor has a simple design, I like how easy it is to open whereas my dad's Arai has a more complex system just to open the visor. I never felt too hot with it in the summer, it has plenty of ventilation, maybe a bit too much. There's definitely wind noise in this bucket, it isn't a quiet ride but you're on a motorcycle, shits going to be loud if you're exposed to the open road. The wind flies up the chin quite easily since there is no cover to block wind but that's not a problem for me. I do wish I came with a dark tint visor though since buying a separate visor costs 40-50 dollars, almost half the price of the helmet. I was able to use some aviators with the helmet on but it's a very tight fit, even after a year of use the helmet is quite snug which is what you want. Thankfully I haven't had to put crash durability to the test but I have seen other reviews that say this helmet as saved their life so I feel pretty safe with it on. I definitely recommend if you want a decent looking helmet that's safe and for less than $150 USD. ... show more

Decent helmet. Size wise it fits pretty nice & that’s coming from someone with a straight melon as a head, pretty comfortable has some air vents you can open to keep it better feelings on the inside, has nice pockets for speakers on the inside, chin strap is easy to use & comfortable, have yet to use it in a crash so I can’t speak on the durability side 🤞 the only thing that kinda annoyed me was in the picture the visor looks smoked but it’s clear when you get it and another visor is under $40. ... show more

The cushions make it a little tight in the facial area. The rest of the helmet fits perfectly. I would not be able to go to a larger size then it would be way too big around my head. I think the facial area will compress more eventually, and be less pressure on my face. I have owned Bell helmets in the past. This one is affordable and I would highly recommend. ... show more

I’m very impressed with this BELL Qualifier helmet. It provides a solid sense of security right from the first ride. The size L fits perfectly and remains comfortable even on long trips, thanks to the well-designed padding. The matte black with gray and white design is sleek and looks even better in person. The visor offers a wide field of view, and the ventilation system keeps the interior cool while riding. I also appreciate how easy it is to adjust the strap, and the interior is removable for cleaning. It feels lightweight without compromising on protection. The helmet itself is good and so far I've had no issues with it. My only complaint is that the advertisement photos clearly show a tinted visor. But upon receiving my helmet, the visor was a plain old transparent one. Not that big of an issue I know but It would be nice if that was shown in the pictures. ... show more
