The only thing that was stopping me from getting this helmet sooner was all the noise complaints. I'll tell you what. When/if you are going to use the Sena with this helmet DO NOT throw away the foam piece that you remove to install the mount. Keep it and once everything is installed, take that foam and trim it so it can fit back in the original spot it was in. I did that and covered it with a piece of black tape just to have that extra secure layer though it is not needed. Dramatically drops the wind noise that comes from the Sena pocket. Other than that, helmet is exactly what I wanted. Fits well, looks nice, and with the Sena and GoPro it all comes together perfectly. Oh and the Transition shield is legit. ... show more

Love the helmet. It's comfortable. Not heavy for being a cheaper helmet. Doesn't feel like I'm making micro adjustments while I ride, to compensate for the weight of a helmet. The vents work pretty good. You can feel a stream line of air when they're opened. The auto tint lenses are what sold me. I don't need to swap out lenses for riding home from work in the dark. I bought this for the Mips and the transition shield. I really feel much safer just knowing the Mips technology is in the helmet. I also LOVE the transition shield. Here are my thoughts a month later: Mips - I really do feel safer with the Mips technology. I hope I never need it but it is reassuring just knowing it's there Transition Shield - Best shield I've ever had or seen. I have really sensitive eyes and in the past have either worn sunglasses inside a clear shield or purchased smoke shields to block out the sun. Sunglasses can get uncomfortable and just add another layer to look through. Smoke shields work well until you get caught in the rain or out a little later than usual and can't see well out of them. This shield is clear when the sun isn't really bad and tinted when it is bright out. I wasn't sure if it would be dark enough, did I mention I have sensitive eyes? It works like a charm. When you're wearing it it seems like it's not working but I never squint and I see very clearly regardless of light condition. Thumbs up. Noise - I almost deducted a star because everyone is correct, it can be a little noisy at higher speeds. I even purchased the bluetooth intercom system made for the helmet thinking it would block some of the noise but it doesn't. The noise definitely comes from that area, as others have stated. However, I had an Arai helmet previously and it had lots of air circulation in it and was just as noisy. The noise is not overwhelming, no need for earplugs or anything else. It's just wind noise and I realize it's keeping me cooled. It's like any other helmet that offers good circulation if that helps. It is a good balance of both noise and breath-ability so I left the last star on. Size - Buy a size up for sure. I was really worried about buying the wrong size. I read all the comments and there were enough people saying buy a size up so I did. Really glad I did. Weight - After a prior neck surgery this was a big concern for me. I was looking at all the weights before buying. I knew ahead of time it wasn't as light as my Arai but that was an $800 helmet. I researched this quite a bit and in this price range it was one of the lightest I could find that still offered a great deal of safety and circulation. I will note that I purchased an HJC for riders and the HJC is a little lighter for what it's worth. However, it doesn't feel heavy and I don't even notice the weight when riding. Visibility - Nice big viewing area and as noted, crystal clear. It also has not fogged up yet even when riding when hot and muggy out. A+ ... show more

Bought this for my wife, the fit is great, she wears a medium. I love the shield that darkens in the sun. Additionally, the MIPS technology makes too much sense to pass on. You can't go wrong with a Bell.

    • Comfortable. Design could be improved. Love the lens.
Pros: 1. The most comfortable helmet I've tried on. Very comfortable for my round head, no pinching anywhere. 2. I'm a huge fan of the transitions lens. Before buying this I read some "reviews" where people said it would be dangerous in tunnels because the tinting has a short lag time before disappearing... those people must not have owned/used this and were making assumptions because we went through multiple tunnels this past weekend and never did I feel like my vision was impaired because the tinting did not immediately disappear. I could see just fine in the tunnel with the tinting. Biggest complaints: 1. Wind noise is pretty loud. The vents keep air circulating when moving, does not help at all when stopped or in stop-and-go traffic. 2. There's a little battery-cover like spot where you can, buy an additional part in order to hook specific models of SENA comms to the helmet (SENA comms also sold separately). The newer SENA comms we purchased are not compatable. Which is fine, you can hook it on a different way. I'm more concerned about this battery-cover thing accidentally getting detached and losing it, leaving a weird indent in the helmet. Poor design to have an easily removable part so exposed without any way to secure it permanently (a screw would've been a better choice) when it's not going to be compatible with all comms systems. ... show more

I was looking for a good helmet that wasn’t super expensive but still safe. This helmet was perfect, fit was great and the color options were awesome! I chose matte black (because obviously that’s the best color ever lol) And to top it all off it has MIPS. The color changing visor is also just so great tint from sun during the day and crystal clear at night. Would buy again and do recommend ... show more
