This is a great value helmet, it is comfortable and has a good style. My only complaint is that the adjustable soft touch wheel for adjustable fit has become melted and sticky in the past year. I guess that is a reminder it’s time for a new helmet!

What you have to understand is I only paid $25 for this helmet, even though the retail price can be as much as $110. How did I do this? I was willing to buy this medium size Safety Yellow color helmet (actually I bought two!) which is a 2018 color. And the helmet was on sale in this color. I'm always scouring the web for helmet deals and this was the best deal I've ever seen. I like having many helmets to match my different bike kits and this filled a niche that perfectly matches the color of a few of my jerseys. I have never seen a MIPS helmet below $70. The helmet itself -irregardless of the price- is excellent. Bell helmets are really made well and their interiors feature a retention system that completely circles the head allowing for an even distribution of the fit and one that favors the oval oblong head shapes of most Americans (this in contrast to some other helmets that fit rounder heads, and cheaper helmets that have retention systems that only half circle the head and end at the temples: a recipe for ill fitting annoying helmets.) My only complaint about Bell helmets is that they tend to be a bit heavier than the most expensive helmets of the competition. This helmet weighs about 295 grams. If you're willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a boutique helmet you can get the weight down to around 200 grams if you do your research . That 100 gram difference is noticeable, especially in the summertime. But the fit of Bell helmets is so good, it's really not a major complaint. And for the money I spent on these, I'm laughing all the way to the bank. But even if you can score one of these at $70, it's a steal. ... show more
