Description

It’s no coincidence that Bell is both the first name in speed and the first name in helmets. Born in the 1950's California hot rod and racing scene, Bell founder Roy Richter built an entire industry anticipating the unmet needs of those with a speed-hungry disposition. People wanted to drive fast … he corralled all the go-fast parts he could find into the world’s first speed shop. They wanted to race … he built them race cars. And when the need-for- speed started to reveal some grim realities, Roy did something about that too and Bell Helmets was born. Roy Richter spent his life removing the limits of what was possible — and his unlimited spirit has been Bell’s guiding light for nearly 60 years, earning the admiration, trust and loyalty of generations of champions. Throughout those years nearly every advance on the list of helmet “firsts” were built under Bell’s auspices. That drive to anticipate and create continues, as much a part of Bell’s ethos today as it was back in Roy’s day. Whether for auto racing, motorcycling or bicycling, Bell is synonymous with instilling confidence and enabling awesomeness. Established 1954, proven ever since.

  • Compass works well. The suction cups and sticky mounting pad are useless.
The compass works fine. The suction cups are too stiff and will not stick to the windshield and the 3M sticking pad will not adhere to a dash board. To mount, will need some 3M double sided exterior foam sticking tape and mount to the dash.

  • Works but won't stay on dashboard
So it works just fine and size is good for my car dashboard, however, it won't stay stuck to the dash. Suctions do nothing and peel and stick square peeled but didn't stick around long. What's the point if you can't mount it ?

  • Doesn't Work in the Car
This compass works until you put it in the car. We tried three different cars and had the same result. Each time the compass turned to the opposite direction. We tried it on the dash and on the windshield with the same results. If you are looking for a compass for the car, then this is not the one for you. ... show more

  • Good car compass, away from interference
It’s a good compass for the money. The red light works good to see direction at night without being too bright. The accuracy is good once away from interference. Other reviewers said it would only point one direction, which means interference. The best spot I found for it (on a 2011 Camry at least) is right next to the rear view mirror, everywhere else I tried there was interference. The things I found to interfere were the dashboard speakers my car has, the radio, and the A pillar. The rear view mirror seems to be a good spot away from most electronics in the vehicle. My dash camera doesn’t seem to interfere with it, even though that’s next to it as well Update: The Included suction cups do not hold up well when left in the summer heat. Every day I would come to the car after work it would have fallen on the floor. I ended up using a some silicone glue, which is holding up very well. The compass is still working as intended after the falls as well ... show more

  • It doesn’t move.
We have moved this to several places in the car but it stays in the same position. Just doesn’t work.

  • Happy with my purchase
I purchased this for my car since the manufacturer felt that it should have 2 clocks right next to each other, rather than installing a compass where the one clock is. It is supposed to have a functional light but even after I put a brand new battery that i purchased, it still didn't work. I am taking one star off for that reason. I also had to tape the little door closed since it opens very easily even though it does somewhat lock but would end up opening on its own with vibrations. It seems to be pretty accurate but I'm not used to reading a compass so I'm not 100% sure on that. ... show more

  • Not good for cars, can’t be fixed on the windshield
Not good for cars, can’t be fixed on the windshield, only on dash board, otherwise will be upside down and will not work. Switch of the light must be pressed all the time, way not convenient. It should light automatically once gets dark, or with on/off switch.
