When my daughter opened this gift at Christmas, she was so excited saying “this is sooo PERFECT!!! Especially for me, bc I am a beginner!!     • Perfect for beginners, but DONT GET WET!

I bought this for myself to dip my toes into embroidery to try to find a new hobby. It is perfect for that. It came with everything you need to get started. However two things to be aware of: 1) you will need to look up YouTube videos of how to do each stitch because the instructions aren’t clear how to do the more involved stitches. 2) DONT get any part of the fabric wet. AT ALL. The instructions say not to wash before finished because the purple lines disappear, so, as instructed I didn’t wash it before I was done stitching. After I finished stitching, I went to rinse the purple off with cold water, and to my surprise the writing dissolved into a rainbow! My kids thought it was fantastic, but I wanted the writing on there to label each stitch for future reference, so I had to go back and write the names in with a sharpie. Luckily I only washed one, so I just won’t wash the others. Overall though, this is a great buy for anyone wanting to try embroidery for the first time, just don’t get the fabric wet. ... show more

I was very pleased with the quality of the kit. The embroidery hoop provided isn't too small and the fabric is thick compared to other kits I've gotten after. The fabric stays put well which is appreciated, and the kit comes with many needles and scissors which I really appreciate. Especially for the cost it was a great buy. It prepared me for my first project and covered all the stitches I needed for my next kit. The videos aren't the best since there aren't any words, but were sufficient to teach me most of the stitches. ... show more

This kit comes with everything you including QR codes linked to videos. Really is a great way for beginners to learn different stitches. Will be passing along to others. Highly recommend.

Good value. Instructions/video likely not enough for most beginners. Help from someone or looking up online videos for each stitch is probably necessary. Also, all the ink smears when washed (not just the blue). I washed by hand several times to get back to white cloth. Blue disappeared. Black writing was slightly visible and smeary (you can see this in the last picture at the top). I rewrote stitch names w/ marker. This is OK for me, but if you don't like this look, DON'T GET IT WET! ... show more
