My prior horn was a Selmer Mark 6 tenor, that was over 30 years ago. when I looked at this horn on line and the price I must confess I was not expecting to be as well made as it is. the workmanship is excellent including fit and finish and there is no reason that it should not last for many years. the pads have resonators on them adding to the horns tone brilliance and although this is new, the the keys are relatively smooth and should loosen up over time. Because this is a "student instrument" the mouth peace's lay is very conservative and you my benefit your playing stile as you advance to a upgraded mouth peace, such as a Burg Larson, Yamaha or Selmer. Investing in a Hard Rubber mouth peace will prove to be a good decision when taking into consideration the possibility "they may drop it. If you are contemplating purchasing this instrument I would highly recommend it, It's well worth the investment and although heaver the "Brass" model will be more forgiving to ruff handling than the copper/brass platted model.

Good quality in my opinion. Good price and appropriate for my 11-year-old to use for her first year in band. The weight is not light so I think that shows it is well made. She played it and thankfully sound came out.

This saxophone exceeded my expectations. I have a child in elementary school who just started playing and this is perfect for him. Price is great! It was cheaper to buy this brand new than to rent a saxophone for the year.

I could not tune this instrument. Maybe it has leaks in it. I got another mouth piece as one review suggested and it would not tune no matter how far I adjusted it, upward or downward. I used two toner apps and it just did not play in tune. I refunded it as soon as I could.
