All of the swatches in the photos had 2 coats, which didn't surprise me for the darker colors but even the yellow was perfect after only two. Im not sure if the magnet included just isn't strong enough, or if the gel polish is too thick, but getting the magnetic particles to move around wasnt happening as easily as it should have... or as well as some other brands. It isn't awful or anything, just not quite a 5 star set. Still, considering the price, it wasnt a terrible purchase. Also, this set has the black plastic bottles that I mentioned before. So, lesser quality in that regard.

So Pretty. Beautiful dark jewel tone colors. I have to get better magnets but I love the effect when I can finally get the glitter to move. They set beautifully under the UV light. You do need the light and they do require a bottom coat and a top coat to seal. If you just use the color it stays tacky after the UV light. I will never air-dry nails again. I have had the colors on for a few days now and they have not chipped or peeled.

The application was very easy, sure the magnet took a bit to figure out how to make the "cats eye" and sort of "cosmic" effect on my nails but oh my goodness are they amazing quality.

The Beetles Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish Set has some really beautiful and unique shades. The shimmer and magnetic effect can look amazing when done right, especially under the right lighting. I love the variety in the set, and the polish is long-lasting when used with a good base and top coat. That said, it does take some practice to get the full cat-eye effect. The magnet included could be stronger, and sometimes the design doesn't stay as sharp after curing. Also, the formula is a little thick, so applying thin, even layers is key to avoiding streaks. Overall, itβs a good set for the price, especially if you like experimenting with nail art. Just be patient and give yourself time to get the technique down!
