Okay, so I saw the reviews about this burning people and I did one nail at a time to test it on myself. What I learned is that if you put the polish on over the base gel coat, and ANY of the polish (which contains resin) gets on your skin around or just under the edge of the nail, IT WILL BURN YOU AS IT CURES!!! This is my first time using UV gel, and I made sure to clean off ANY excess polish touching my skin - especially under the nail edge. Once I made sure my skin was clean, I put the nail under the UV lamp and the polish cured properly. You will feel it get warm, as it typical with certain resins which cure under UV light. However, if you do not clean up the excess polish on your skin and you put your finger under the UV lamp, the resin will cure and BURN YOU. If you feel like your finger starts burning, TAKE IT OUT FROM UNDER THE UV LAMP!!! Don't just let it burn you. This has resin in it! If you feel REALLY HOT burning when you put your finger under the UV lamp, remove your finger and make sure you clean off any polish from your finger. I did each of my nails one at a time. It took a longer time, but I was not burned. Over all, it cured very evenly and very glossy. It cured in 60 seconds perfectly. The color was 484 I believe, and it looks lovely.

These polishes work so good and look amazing! I will say that the reviews I saw about irritation around the nails put me off a little bit but I tried them anyways and had no reaction. I will say that if you get this product on your skin and put it under UV you will get burned! It happened to me but that’s not because of the polish it because when the polish is drying it gets hot so if it’s on your skin it will get hot and burn. Make sure to remove all polish from around your nails before drying. This goes for gel glues and top coats as well.

While I love the Beetles brand of gel polish, these jelly colors don't seem to create the same effect as the pictures, with my natural nails. I'm a little bummed, but it's not their fault. My nails are naturally thick, and I only get acrylic tips when I've broken a nail and I have a major event coming up. So, there's not much opportunity for these to be seen through, as I had hoped. I will be asking if I can return the set, but I will still purchase their other colors.
