This was my first time doing my own gel nails at home. I could not be any happier with the results I was able to achieve with this kit. The manicure tools were surprisingly high quality, there was a great assortment of polish colors, and the UV dryer was very easy to use. I did make one mistake my first time using the kit - I turned on the lamp to test the light and accidentally left it on as I was painting the base coat and it started to cure prematurely. Now the little base coat brush is hard, but that was 100% due to my inexperience working with gel. Despite the mistake, I was still able to achieve a great result. If you're hesitating at all about whether or not to buy this kit - just do it! Using this kit is as easy as painting your nails with regular polish (if not easier) and the results are impeccable. Plus, the value is amazing. I've only done my nails once and the kit has already paid for itself.

Ok, I'm very impressed with this set. Not knowing what it's chemically doing to my body (it's not natural or organic), but it does really nice manicures. My salon wanted twice the price of this set for one manicure for the holidays, so I bought this instead. I did my own manicure. It was a bit of a learning curve. The first time, I did not get the dark green to go on very smoothly, so I had to add the glitter to the top to cover some of the flaws. But it ended up looking very nice and I got tons of compliments. I then repeated with the red and even though I did a lot better on the even coverage, I added the glitter. Again, lots of compliments. The glitter is not very easy to spread evenly, because the larger pieces tend to collect together. It has a little bit of a snow-globe effect. I am planning to try some of the more neutral colors through the winter. Both manicures have lasted through everything I threw at them, including plumbing repairs etc, so not problems there. If you get the Vivaali (if you can get them to send you an unused set) gel remover and the remover set from Beetles with the files, then it's not hard to change manicures. Now that I have what I need, it's going to be quite a while of fun, for the cost of one salon manicure.

I love how easy it is to use! The colors are beautiful and I’m ready to buy more colors. I’m OBSESSED with the matte top coat. I work with cannabis at a distribution company in Humboldt ca. I wear gloves all day long. With regular nail polish, it would chip and just flat out come completely off my finger nails the day after I do them because of my gloves. So I am so happy that I got this because it doesn’t chip or just come off. I told my boss about it and she is going to buy herself and her daughter this as gifts for her daughters birthday. Buy this! You won’t regret it!! UPDATE! They lasted 2 weeks! And my job has me wearing gloves all day and I come in contact with so many different elements at work from alcohol, cleaning trays, trimming, vacuuming (constantly jamming my fingers honestly lol) so I am AMAZED! I repainted them white and the rose gold-ish glitter. I love it. So does my boyfriend lol no longer has to wait for my nails to dry to do anything lol

UPDATE: 2 stars I've been using this set for a few months. At first I thought it was great but these polishes are not durable at all. I prep the heck out of my nails and apply it correctly and no matter how hard I try, my nails chip after 2 days. Also, the curing lamp is awful. It's too small and I feel like it isn't powerful enough. I won't be purchasing this again I've been a diy nail person for a long time but I've never taken the leap into gel until now. This kit is an awesome starter kit and definitely well worth the price. I love the color selection and consistency. The polish goes on very easily. The tools it came with are good quality as well and you get a bunch of them. The curing lamp is too small in my opinion so I will be purchasing a larger one in the future. I also purchased some nail dehydrator and primer separately as well. So far I have done my nails twice with this kit. The first set lifted the next day but that was my fault. I applied the layers too thick and did not properly prep my nails. My second attempt has been much better. So far I am a week in and no lifting or chipping yet. Overall, I am very happy with this and will be purchasing more products from this seller.

PLEASE do not buy this, I beg of you!! The price is truly amazing for everything you get in this kit, there is no question about that. I was able to use it for 9 months without any issues at all. But about a month ago, I finished a manicure and the next day 4 of my nailbeds were in so much pain. When I took off the polish, my nails were SEVERELY burned underneath the nail. I decided to give my nails a rest for about 3 weeks, during which time the skin underneath started to peel away from the nail. Thinking it was a random one-off occurrence, I tried another manicure after a few weeks, but ALL of my nails were in severe pain the next morning. I promptly removed the polish and will be tossing the whole kit. DO YOUR RESEARCH, PLEASE!! I wish I had before I bought this kit - This is not an uncommon occurrence!! The ingredients in these polishes are incredibly cheap and are not regulated, as they are made in other countries, so allergic reactions develop frequently. These same chemicals are not present in more reputable brands, however. If you really value your gel manicures, spend the extra money to go with a better professional-grade brand!!
