I have tried other gel polishes and they don’t harden up or last as long as this. I bought this set for the dark colors and they didn’t disappoint. The sparkly colors were decent just not my cup of tea.

It definitely changes colors, but if you have short nails it's not as fun. Still giving it 5 stars because it does change just like it says, it's my fault for not realizing short nails are all going to be the same temp. When I wash my hands or go outside (it's winter) there's a very quick and obvious change in the color. I just save this for when my nails are longer and my kids till then. I really like this brand, it seems to last longer than others I've tried (granted they were the cheaper ones, but I wanted to see if I could notice a difference).

The media could not be loaded. Very easy to use. This was my first time doing my own gel nails at home. This product had great reviews. It’s perfect. I did base coat 2 red gel coats 1 glitter gel coat and a top coat. After each coat I did 120s of UV light just because I wanted to make sure it was cured. They came out so wonderful and I had zero issues. Since this is my first time I cannot be sure of this but I believe the nail prep before polish is important for success. I pushed my cuticles back and buffed and filed I also purchased a nail dehydrator and primer that I also applied before polish. I got them in a kit from Beetles. The kit included base coat, top coat, nail dehydrator and nail primer. The video is on day 3 and they look just as perfect as day 1. The photos are right after I finished them on day 1. I’ve also been doing lots of house cleaning and furniture moving and they are still perfect. Cannot rave about this product enough! HUGE value for your money as I used to spend $45-$65, depending on the services included, for a gel manicure or just gel polish. Also great info to share, it came with instructions on how to apply and in what order as well. I can’t wait to try more colors!

I bought this set for the dark navy blue, and it isn’t as dark as I would’ve liked, or what I expected based on the product picture. With that said, I love beetles gel and it goes on easily and wears extremely well. It’s a great value for the price. It is thicker, if you haven’t ever used beetles before, but I don’t mind it. Overall, this is a great set to add to my stash.

Besides the gel colors, the box for the version I purchased (green gel or "enchanted forest") also came with a magnet and dots with stickers. The magnet is actually really good. I was able to get the velvet effect on the cat eye gels very easily. The dots were okay. Once I stuck them on the bottles (I did move the labels to the side), the dots came right off of the gel. I would recommend maybe buffing and/or using base coat so the dots don't pop off like mine did. For the colors, the bottles aren't large but I was getting these for the variety of colors. I didn't think I'll be using one single color for multiple sets of full color nails. Even with the size, they're very affordable. e905 and e909 the consistency is thick enough to not need to fuss too much to get good glitter coverage. The jellies, e906 and e907, were not streaky at all and self level. e908 is more blueish than I expected but the coverage is very good. I could've just used one coat for the swatches but wanted to keep it even. My favorite is e910 (the lighter cat eye) since it's still jelly but gives the amazing velvet sheen with the magnet. It's like an illusion glass effect. I bought this set specifically because I wanted greens but I may look into some of the other versions after seeing these.

Beetles has become my go-to brand over the past couple of years and I love all their products. I specifically bought this particular set for the two cat eye polishes. (I had a cat eye manicure recently at a salon for the first time and I was absolutely obsessed with the effect). Unfortunately the two cat eye polishes didn’t work. I presumed it was because of the magnet that was supplied (it’s a little piddly thing) so I bought some super strength neodymium magnets (that are strong enough to hold a shelf up!) but even that didn’t work. The polish they used at the salon was more like a fine powder that you could actually see moving as she moved the magnet around. Whereas these polishes just seem to contain big chunks of glitter which are widely spaced and definitely don’t move. Even if they did move I don’t believe you could possibly get the glassy cat eye effect because the particles are too big and too far apart (see the close up in my last pic). I’m giving 3 stars because I love all the colours (even though I already had some of them from a different set - like I say, I specifically bought this set for the 2 cat eye bottles) They still look great and are super sparkly and I will definitely wear them. They are great quality, go on easily and don’t chip. However I can’t hide my disappointment in the fact that they are definitely not cat eye. That is the only reason I bought them, I didn’t need any other polished as I have tons. So it was a wasted purchase. (I wish I knew what the brand was that the salon used, I would buy that in a heartbeat, it was awesome)

The media could not be loaded. This is my second set of Beetles Cateye Polish I've purchased and again not a disappointment. They're one of my favorite brands to be honest. The colors are beautiful and price is so affordable. The only thing I feel the need to mention for others who might be interested as I didn't figure it out right away myself, but didn't care regardless is in the picture it shows each name with multiple colors on them which could be a tad misleading. The set comes with magnet stick, black nail polish, 2 chameleon cateye and 3 single colored Cateye polishes. They used 2 different colored Cateye polishes on the nails to give the multiple color effect. But that's easy to do so don't let that discourage you. The last thing I want to mention is the magnet that comes with it works do good. I was surprised on that one.
