I really liked this Beetles Candy Cane gel polish set. The colors are vibrant, and the glitter gives a nice shine without being too chunky. They apply smoothly, level out well, and look even better after curing.....I used them for a holiday manicure, but a few of the shades are versatile enough to wear year-round. As a new SAHM of 4 I am trying to save on costs. I don’t mind doing my nails at home, but never have the time to wait for them to try and I always mess them up. I love this nail kit. It takes me 8 minutes total to paint both hands and they are cured, and perfect! I can’t say on how long they last as my gel only lasts about a week from the salon or this kit either way because I pick at them. I got the basics package as a Christmas gift. I didn't really want it, I'd never done gel nails and didn't hear good things. I cracked my thumb nail about halfway through horizontally, just above the nailbed. I have OCD so it really bothers me if one nail is too short. So it was either fix the nail or cut them all. But I loved the length. It had taken me a long time to grow. So I took a chance on the gel kit being able to save it. I used the base to secure the nail, cured it, and then painted as usual. It's lasted over a month and the crack doesn't even show. It feels strong and like the crack never happened. I loved it so much I purchased this expansion pack for cute Valentine's Day nails (In the pic I'm wearing the pink from the basics pack and the sparkles from this Vday pack). My tips are: Use thin coats, cure for 120 seconds for base, 60 seconds for colors (do 2 thin coats) and 120-180 for top coat. Also, if it still feels wet and sticky between coats, don't worry. Curing the top coat dries that up and they're hard to the touch right after. My only gripe is some of the glitters come as glitter in a clear base (like the pink/silver glitter I'm wearing in the pics), and some (like the red glitter in this Vday pack) come with a colored base. The red in this pack is a red glitter with a red base. I don't like that. I'd prefer if all the glitters had a clear base so I could top them over any color. Other than that, good purchase! Low odor, cures well, long lasting, lots of options and pretty affordable. ... show more

Absolutely LOVED these colors!! They were perfect for the holiday themed nails I wanted to do for myself this year! The picture does not properly convey just how sparkly the red color is. Totally reminds me of Dorothy's slippers in the Wizard of Oz! All of the colors I used on my nails were in this set. The only thing that wasn't included in this particular set was the bow. Totally worth the price for these polishes. The gold glitter color was a bit thick in consistency, but I made it work. The other colors were great! ... show more
