The comforter came compressed in a box, and I put it in the washer before use. It had a odd smell when it’s damp. I think it is the smell of the feathers. After it is dried and fluff up, it is great! I have the medium weight comforter and it is so cozy at night, where it is about 65 - 70 degrees. It is not too heavy and weighted just enough to keep me warm the whole night. ... show more

5 STARS!!!!! I was looking for a comforter for the winter months, this one is very warm and allows me to not turn the heat pump on for most nights. It’s very warm and that’s with a fan running at a room temperature of 66 degrees Fahrenheit. I've always been partial to feather and down comforters. I like that it's made from all natural materials -- the cover is 100% cotton and the fill is feather and down. I appreciate the blue pin stripe at the top -- mainly because it makes it easy to see which way is up -- which can be annoying with bedding. I have accidentally put a sheet or blanket on the bed sideways and had to fix it more times than I care to share. This comforter is just warm enough. We keep it cold at night so this keeps me nice and warm but not overheated. For colder months, I may switch to a thicker comforter, but this is perfect for 3 out of the 4 seasons. ... show more
