I read a ton of duvet insert reviews on Amazon and decided on this one. It's perfect! Not too hot, not too cold, Goldilocks in the middle. We keep the thermostat at night in the mid-to-low 60s in the winter. I thought maybe this duvet insert wouldn't be warm enough for me and I would need an extra blanket on my side of the bed, but with a cotton duvet cover in addition to a flat sheet, I am not cold. It also feels very cloud-like and fluffy, it's not oppressively heavy like some comforters I have used before. Would highly recommend this for anyone who sleeps with a hot sleeper! ... show more

Huh? I was disappointed when I spread it out on a twin bed to discover the fabric is what I consider going the wrong way, my brain says stripes go with length on a bed cover. It doesn't affect the softness, it's very silky feeling, or the warmth, we just had that arctic blast of -10 to -15 and my drafty northwest windows were as drafty as I remember, this was just perfect for sleeping, lightweight and warm! I purchased recently and it arrived quickly. It is a really nice weight and quite pretty without the cover! I loved all the tabs to secure it to the cover. The loops on the corners are strong and there are even ties on the sides. If your duvet cover doesn't have middle ties, you can always use a safety pin to attach the loop to your cover for added holding power. I use safety pins in the middle of the top and bottom and it works great. Slept under this last night and it provided just enough cover to stay cool in these hot North Carolina summers. This seems well made and was the perfect size for our king bed and king duvet cover. I definitely would purchase again! ... show more
