This is my first duvet cover, and after watching a few different brands, I bought this cover during a lightning deal. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with the dark grey. Grey was one of my color preferences but I also didn’t want my other blanket to show through. I used it to cover a king size comforter I had barely used due to it being too fragile. My comforter being covered was burnt orange with extra chiffon material which had embroidered flowers. I read this duvet was thin, but thankfully my comforter did not show through the dark grey color choice. The only thing you can see is towards the bottom the extra chiffon on my other comforter makes it not lie completely flat. It’s barely noticeable and I’m very happy. I’m also loving how soft the duvet is. I actually look forward to sleeping with it. I have a king size bed with a thick mattress, an extra 3” pad. This duvet was wide enough, as you can see in the photo. It may be durable enough for pets as long as nails are trimmed. I have a special needs cat, she doesn’t always retract her nails when appropriate. I usually put a throw blanket over my comforters when I leave, for this reason. I forgot to do that and she put one tiny snag in it. Can’t really see it. I took photos after the duvet went through one gentle wash and dry. It held up nicely. No fading. ... show more

I was really disappointed when I opened this because of how thin it felt, almost sheer and worried that it would tear (I have a large dog that likes to jump on my bed) however I did put it on and it does look very very nice and doesn’t feel so fragile once the duvet is in it. It has held up just fine for a couple nights now with the dog and was pleasantly surprised at how soft and comfortable these sheets are, I love them now they definitely grew on me! ... show more
