I could not be happier with this product! I am 51 years old, and a couple of weeks before I ordered this, I fell out of bed for the 1st time in at least 45 years. With my bed frame, box spring, and mattress combined, my bed is very high - 3 feet off the ground to be exact. So that was a nasty fall. I don't know what changed about my sleeping habits, but soon after, I nearly had another fall but woke up just in time. The whole thing made me very nervous, and this product makes me feel safe and secure. It turns out my bed is too high for a similar product with legs, so I was worried about the stability. But to me, installed as directed it is very stable. I like how narrow the bed rail is, because on the foot side of the bed there is plenty of room to get out, and on the head side I can easily reach everything on my night stand. However, there is still enough of it to present a very secure obstruction against falling out of bed. I also like the attached organizer, which has helped me to de-clutter my night stand. I really needed a bed rail to recover, but didn’t want a big one that I couldn’t get around working it being in the way all the time. This one is perfect! It’s really just the wrong size! It’s perfect for an adjustable bed frame, too. My mattress is heavy enough that I don’t need to strap it down in the opposite side of the bed. This rail is something I’d use on days I just feel too exhausted to even get up, but just surgery recovery. It’s comes with a picket that attaches to the bar, but I’m using that in my walker, instead. I think it would be be great for tv remotes, phone, and glasses too, if you want them close by. I’m severely physically disabled and finally bought a bed rail to try to help with getting up and down and to keep me from accidentally rolling out of my bed (it’s a small twin size). For the most part, it’s easy to install and stable, but it can somewhat move if pushed enough (and I’m only 5’2” and 80 - 85 lbs). I was hopeful it’d keep my mattress completely in place. It tends to more than without, of course, but still can move over if enough pressure is put horizontally. I do love how it has a few compartments to put what you want.
