I’m not enough of an audio snob to comment on the sound beyond saying it’s good. Better than a $20 backup pair of buds I have for sure. The noise cancelling is effective, though I feel like it’s been better on other buds I’ve tried. The real value here is the hook things. These are sold for cheap to add to other buds, but it’s not the same as having them intentionally built in. I wear these for probably 10 hrs/day on average with zero ear fatigue and zero concern about them falling out. I have no idea why this design doesn’t have a host of knockoff options, it’s just plain better than every other “stay in place” bud I’ve tried. That said, the built-in Find My support for the buds is a joke, over 6 years and a few pairs, it let me down basically every time I tried using it. Moreover, the buds are in my ear or the case - what would really be useful is an AirTag built into the case.

I was initially hesitant to buy these because my previous set of Beats was underwhelming, but I needed a pair of gym headphones with a solid fit. I have tried several brands of earbuds with various tips (factory vs. aftermarket foam vs. aftermarket high-quality silicone; various sizes tested), and I could achieve good sound but really could not get a great fit. Fine for cardio, but most weightlifting made my headphones slowly wiggle out of my ears. The "hook inside ear" style looked worthwhile, and I am glad I gave these a try. The fit is very good. There is a "sound test" which helps you determine the correct tip sizes, and that helped. The noise isolation is great. Even with my music paused, the various external noises in the gym are controlled. The volume is "good, but not great" in the sense that I feel they need to be turned up a bit louder to match the sound of some other brands. An interesting quirk, maybe only on Android devices: there is no easy way to adjust the sound. I guess they offer an auto-EQ with a sound they feel is best. I won't complain about that because I am using this as a true "gym headphone" and have other earbuds for use at home/on a plane/for hands-free calling, but several other brands I have used have some form of EQ setting where one can choose bass-heavy vs rock vs voice vs whatever. It just seems odd to not have the Beats app offer EQ settings or manual sliders, as maybe someone else wants the solid fit but is not seeking out a boomy sound. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of headphones for their gym needs. The sound is good, not great, but I do not think anyone needs to worry about nuanced sound when training. These excel at staying in place when lifting weights.

I have the original beats fit pro and so I wanted the upgraded ones now that one of my headphones on the old ones (2020) started cutting out after heavy usage. When I got them they looked great, super tiny case and fit just like the last. They were comfortable and fit into my ear perfect. The material is very smooth and feels good in the ear. They connected without issue to my iPhone and that’s where the disappointment began. The sound quality was fine. Basically no bass but it sounded good, ANC same as my original ones. Poor. They barely cut out noise and so I was incredibly disappointed in these “new” ones. I’m not sure if there was any actual upgrade from the original ones when it comes to sound quality, which made me so sad because I was excited to have a true upgrade. If ANC and bass is important for you, don’t get these. Get the Powerbeats instead

I've been using the Powerbeats Pro 2 every day, and they've been fantastic. The fit is excellent, and I'm glad Apple kept the ear hook design, it makes them easy to put on and take off while keeping them securely in place, even during workouts. The sound quality is outstanding, and the noise cancellation is seriously impressive. It blocks out almost everything, and I also like that you can switch to Transparency mode when you need to hear what's going on around you without taking the earbuds out. My only complaint is the charging case. It's harder to open than it should be, and the pairing button is so well hidden that it's almost impossible to find without looking it up. I ended up adding a small piece of tape to make the lid easier to grip and used a white paint marker to highlight the pairing button so I could find it quickly. I really hope Apple addresses those two issues in a future version. Aside from that, these are excellent earbuds, and I'd definitely recommend them.

Great sound; would expect nothing less for beats. Sometimes even the smallest earbud tips are too large for my ears, but they work well. They seat comfortably in my ear. Excellent battery life. I wish the case had a lanyard loop hole. Had to buy separate case.

I had a pair of Powerbeats Pro 2’s (the pair with the hook over the ear)… in fact I bought them just 4 months ago and they were STOLEN from me in an emergency room! 🥲 I loved them and I used them ALL the time, for literally everything. Music, phone calls at work, runs and strength workouts. So they were proven for staying in my ear with a secure fit. I particularly enjoyed the battery life, comfort for all day wear, sound quality and integrated features with my apple products. Thing is… they were $250 and I didn’t have that kind of money to blow this time around… So I reluctantly returned to the market to find either 1) the same ones at a lower price or 2) something hopefully as similar as possible to those, but at a lower price. Turns out theses are just as good AND they fit better! They’re impossibly MORE comfortable than my Pro 2’s were! Slightly less battery life, but I’m okay with that trade off with the value increase for just under half what I originally paid for the Pro 2’s. Volume is still perfect, still have the ANC and and Transparency features, the controls work the same as the other ones and I love that they’re just slightly smaller for my minimalist tastes in purses… All around best quality for the money. 🎵

The fit is comfortable and secure. I absolutely hated the sound when I first got them. I mainly use for listening to audiobooks while doing cardio or chores. Sound quality for spoken word was like two soup cans and a string. Finally realized the spatialize stereo was set to fixed. Switched to off and sound is now rich and clear. Would buy again

Pros: - It does stay in your ear very well, and comfortable. - Nice, small case and compact, light buds. Fancy colors. - Integrates well with Apple ecosystem. Cons: - ANC is a joke, mabye blocks out 30% . - They forgot abot SQ. - Surprisingly weak Bass, and I thought Beats were bass-heavy. - Sometimes one bud not working, need to put it back in the case to "restart" to make it work. Yeah the form factor is great, puts minimal strain on your ears yet stays in place even during heavy workouts. But the sound is lacking bass, and because you don’t have the bass wrapping around the whole sound and tying it all together, it souds harsh and sometimes irritating. What a disappointment, I know it's not the same maker but if these were only as good as the original Airpods Pro which uses the same H1 chip, then I woud've been happy. Bottom line, the SQ lets you down, and IMO cannot justify the price even with the nice form factor. Get these only if you MUST have airpods-like convenience in Apple ecosystem.
