The Beard Club Body Trimmer BT-Zero simply oozes quality from its packaging to its design. The trimmer arrives inside a really nice presentation box that has two plastic shelves inside. The top shelf contains the trimmer with its wide blade attached and three guards (2, 4, and 6 mm). The bottom shelf contains the smaller precision blade attachment with 2mm guard attached, power block, charging stand, a long USB-A to two-pronged charging cable, and cleaning brush and small bottle of blade oil. Everything you need to get started. The enclosed instructions are clear and easy to follow, along with nice graphics. There is a slender white line encircling the trimmer just below the shaving head that lights while the trimmer is charging or operating. Just below The Beard Club logo is an on/off button. The charging port is at the bottom of the trimmer so it can be plugged in vertically on its charging stand, or plugged directly into the power block. The trimmer is approximately 6" in length and fits very nicely in the palm of the hand. It is solid and has a great feel to it. Add to that, the entire unit is waterproof and can be used in the shower and rinsed off when you're done. Note that it should be dried off completely after use and the blades re-oiled to prevent rusting or sticking. A magnet holds the shaving head in place. To remove, simply pull the head straight off so you can either clean underneath or install the precision shaving head. Once you engage the new shaving head, the magnet holds it firmly in place without slipping. To test things out, I used the wide trimmer to trim my beard. After charging the unit, I oiled the blade as directed. Using one of the guards over the wide blade, the trimmer did a nice job of trimming without pulling my skin or hair and without nicks. After less than five minutes of shaving, I turned the trimmer off to clean the hairs from the blade then tried to turn it back on. Nothing. No white light to show it was on, no motor humming. I changed shaving heads and again nothing. I tried to plug the trimmer into the charger and got no response at all. I returned the trimmer to Amazon in exchange for a replacement unit. Fortunately, I had much better luck with the replacement trimmer. After charging in its stand overnight and oiling the blade, I was able to use both the wide blade and precision blade to trim my beard and other body hair. The trimmer worked fine and is surprisingly quiet during operation. It shaves smoothly. There is a 30-day money back guarantee posted on The Beard Club website. At its price, I would have expected a more typical one year warranty. Other than that, it would make a very nice gift for someone or for yourself. I recommend this trimmer and award it 4 stars, removing one star for the quality control issue with the first trimmer. ... show more

My son told me to come back and give this 5 stars. Gave this to him at Christmas 2022. He uses it once every 2 weeks. Fast forward to March 2024, which is 15 months later. He got it out to use and thought he might need to charge it first. Turns it on and it still shows 68% battery life. He then gets the box out and sees that he has yet to charge this trimmer in the 15 months he's been using it. The charger is still wired into the box! Says the trimmer does it's job well, and the battery life (apparently even out of the box) is off the charts. Highly recommend! ... show more

The guard options are great for the long range of lengths. Battery is very solid. Where it fails is using it to trim a beard without guard - less effective than decades old cheap trimmers. Motor seems to also be of very poor quality as it's weaker. Barely at 1 year and it had already slowed down before this review. Basically if main thing you're after is the great length options - it's good enough; but expect it to be more time consuming the longer you own this. If you want to ever go to stubble, you'll need something else - even a cheap $20 beard trimmer will crush this. ... show more
