This is dot approved supposedly but it doesn't have anything other than thin flexible fabric and a little bit of flexible foam in it. It doesn't have any kind of Styrofoam like most helmets. I had to remove the thick piece of foam at the top so it would sit down more on my head and not look like a SPED helmet lol. It's still comfortable and now looks better. Let's see ordered the size I wear a large it was to big ordered the medium and it's still a little big you can't really tighten it cause then the straps don't fit your ears right and the chin strap won't line up there is barely any padding in it which makes it kinda uncomfortable to wear and to top it all off it showed up with a big scratch on it. My suggestion is just spend a bit more $$$ for a quality helmit ... show more

I like the low profile but still DOT. Runs a little big so may consider getting size down. I had to reorder a medium due to large bone too big and I usually wear large.

You can literally bend this helmet with your hands. The rubber around the helmet comes off and doesn't appear to have been glued on, I do like the fact it has a liner that can be pulled down to cover your ears, but this is a BICYCLE helmet at the most and I would go so far as to say its jut for looks. ... show more

I bought for passengers. The under chin strap has 2 methods of securing the helmet down which is probably great to sell to more customers but if you use the loops then the buckle is in the way. I took the buckle off and chin piece off and it was fine.
