I have a female's average sized head and maybe leaning a bit on the small side. Comfortable fit for me. The pom-pom on the top of the head makes the hat look like a 1940's iceskating costume which I bet would look cute on some who likes to appear vintage'esque. I snipped off the pom. I may try to reattach it more off the back of my crown instead sticking straight up. The color is very pretty. It's deep purplish-pink with a little silver thread going through it.
