I was so excited for this chair. After finally retiring the glider that survived two nurseries and countless bedtime stories and long nights, I wanted a cute, cozy spot where my girls and I could curl up for to read before bed. The chair arrived vacuum sealed in a box that looked like it belonged to a kitchen appliance rather than a giant chair. Watching it expand was impressive, but unfortunately that’s where my excitement peaked. My first disappointment was the color and fabric. The “brown” shown in the listing photos appears to be a warm, uniform beige, but what arrived is a dark grayish-brown, two-toned color that looks quite different in person. The fabric was also not what I expected. Instead of the soft fur texture shown online, it has a rougher, sherpa-like appearance. The biggest issue, however, is its comfort…or lack thereof. The chair is filled with chunks of memory foam stuffing and is packed so tightly that it’s incredibly lumpy. Rather than sinking into a cozy reading chair, it feels like sitting on an oversized bag of foam rocks. It’s not comfortable for any extended period of time, which defeats the entire purpose. For the price, I expected much better quality and comfort. I would have returned it, but the return process required me to re-box the chair for UPS pickup. That’s a great idea in theory, except this chair arrived compressed to about one-fifth of its size. Unless Amazon also ships a time machine so I can reverse the expansion process at home, I’m not sure how anyone is supposed to fit this back into a box of any size. To make matters worse, I contacted the seller and spoke with a representative who acknowledged my concerns. She asked me to email photos and details and said she was submitting a request for a $50 refund. Unfortunately, the refund never arrived, and despite multiple follow-up emails and a call, I’ve received no response for weeks. At this point, it’s clear I’ve been completely ghosted. Overall, this chair did not match the listing photos, is far less comfortable than advertised, and the customer service experience only added to the disappointment. I cannot possibly put into words how thrilled I am w this purchase It’s large and my boyfriend even fits in at standing at 6”2, comfortably I actually slept in it last night and slept better than I’ve slept in years. My son is 5’11 and 175 pounds, and this chair is perfect for him and our big dog to lounge together. It’s easy to move it from room to room, it keeps its shape and it’s easy to clean if needed. The chair takes about 24 hours to fully expand. There is no noticeable smell or anything off putting. It’s also packaged well! The box that arrives is on the heavy side. We were shipped a slightly smaller chair that’s also the wrong color. My son still loves it, so we are not going to go through the hassle of returning. The memory foam is the perfect balance of soft and supportive. it actually holds your shape instead of flattening out like cheaper bean bags. The donut design is genius. It wraps around you and gives amazing back and head support, so whether I’m watching TV, gaming, or just scrolling on my phone, I’m completely comfortable for hours. It’s very low to the ground so not great for older folks with older knees, and you tend to slide forward in it, versus comfortably sinking into it.
