    • Light and easy to use
Holds 100' of 12/3 just fine. Had to tighten down the handle but that was easy enough with a screwdriver. It makes rolling up a long cord much faster and easier and I've used a variety of cord reels and other methods for tying up long cords for many years. I prefer the big, heavy ground reels but then they're big and heavy while this is light and, really just as easy. My biggest complaint is they cut the cord tag end holder on the same side as the handle. If you leave the tag end long enough to reach a few feet up a wall it makes wrapping the cord difficult as the tag end wraps around your hand while reeling. Now, you SHOULD unwind the entire cord when in actual use so unless you're using it for a very light load this doesn't really matter. I've melted a cord & reel (not this one) left partially wound while drawing a heavy load (inductive heat generation). Now, I almost always use 12/3 cords (because it's basically just an extension of house wiring) and rarely have any problems. If it's used only for things like Christmas lights I might use a lighter cord. I've used this TYPE of cord reel for many years and they hold up and work well. ... show more

For years struggled with outdoor electrical cords that seemed determined to twist into figure-8 loops. This Bayco reel is like a miracle! It can reel in my 100’ 12 gauge cord in less than 3 minutes. Every so often I just have to level the cord out to make the layers even-no problem. Fits the entire 100’ cord in the reel for easy storage. ... show more

This is a very basic cord reel that I would consider medium duty. It is definitely not a heavy duty reel as stated in the description. I had to roll up two 75’ awg 10 extension cords. These are heavy cords. The barely fit on the reel and they distorted it a bit. These reels would be fine for lighter awg 14 cords. ... show more

It might seem like a lot of money for what it is, BUT if you have had to unknot extension cords multiple times, it is worth every penny.

This item is misrepresented, its description says the item is packed as 2 PCS, but it is packaged as a single piece. I ordered 2 units expecting 4 pcs, but only received 2 units. I was shorted 2 units. They are less than $14 each at Home Depot. The product is a good product, just not as advertised.
