These gardening tools are good quality and easy to use and hold without feeling uncomfortable. I've been using these tools for some simple gardening that I do and they have been good so far with no issues. The quality of them seems to be very good for gardening with good strength in the metal to dig even in some pretty hard ground mixed with clay.

These garden tools are just what I was looking for and they feel great in my hand. Sturdy, not too heavy, but with enough weight to get the job done. However, they stink. I let them sit out in my garage for a couple of weeks before they aired out enough to use.

I got this set as gift for my wife who is recently retired & has taken up gardening to fill her spare time & as exercise. Tools are light & well balanced which is important due to chronic pain in her hands, forcing her early retirement as a pharmacist. I don't think that these are good enough or sturdy enough for a professional landscaper or gardener. But for the average homeowner working in an average size backyard, these will suffice.

The tools have good grips that fit well in my hand. They are light weight, so are easy to use in potting soil and garden soil, but probably not so much in hard rocky soil. Do not use to hammer or pry rocks or the handles will break off! I had that happen to another similar garden tool, which is why I needed this set. Treat them right, and they'll do the job they are designed to do. I use the two pronged tools to pick up big bundles of brush, pine needles and grass clippings. They work much better than using my hands or a heavy rake.

I like that these tools are a little larger then my pervious ones the larger hand shovel is my favorite. however I don't find them to be heavy duty but more of a lighter to medium duty. These tools are nice to hold and use and for the price you cant beat it to get something new.

they cone in a plain brown box with a label that says this is part of a set (so I thought there might be more than one box). When the box is opened, the four tools are arranged in a plastic bag. If gifting these, I would definitely wrap them loosely individually. The four tools are well designed with good-feeling grips. I don't know how sturdy they are, but their heft is enough to make me consider them for gift giving to my gardening friends. I like the orange ring on every one, as I tend to lose tools in the garden area a lot. I also like the narrow shovel as this makes transplanting and digging in narrow areas of the beds easier.

Although this 4 piece set appears to be well made, I would not describe them as "heavy duty". In my mind, these are more for friable soils or inside use, however, I can be a little rough on my gardening tools. The handles feel more like plastic (than rubber, though it's sometimes it's hard to tell the difference, but they do feel comfortable in my hand. I got these to replace a couple of hand tools I bent out of shape during last year's planting efforts, and think I should get good use out of these in spring.
