  • Great battery box, well built with many connections
This is an excellent battery box that is ready for you to just drop in your LiFePO4 20 amp battery and be ready to power on a wide variety of 12 volt DC items. It has several different types of connections including several Anderson Power Pole connections, USB-A connections and even a set of heavy duty binding posts. Also on top is a rocker ON/OFF switch and a red light volt meter that shows voltage when switch in ON position. The wiring inside the box appears very professional, neat and has a 30 amp fuse in-line. My 30 amp battery was too tall to fit but with my 20 amp battery, there is plenty of room to store various cables with different connection on their ends so I can power all my 12 volt DC items. I am an amateur radio operator, so this battery box is great for powering my transceivers when operating off the power grid. I highly recommend this battery box for its quality, power outlet options and price. ... show more

  • Great value
I am very impressed with this battery box. Easily on par with many name brands battery back ups. Clever design with several different plugs laid out over the lid. Each plug has a waterproof plug that snaps in place when not in use. My 22ah battery fit with plenty of room for a bigger battery. I am using the extra space to store my many different charging cords to always have on hand when needed. The box is a customized plastic ammo box. The material is strong and the lid snaps tightly for a waterproof seal. The Anderson plug let's me plug my solar panel into the box to keep my battery charged during my remote kayak trips. There many variables, but my solar panel was keeping my battery topped off with day charging over a 3 day trip. All of the USB plugs work perfectly. I haven't hooked any high draw items up to it yet, mostly phone, usb powered fan, and powerbanks. This box is great value compared to many name brand products. I like the versatility of being able to swap out batteries if needed. Overall, I'm giving this an "A". Thicker main wires are the only thing keeping it from a "+". But, you get a lot for the price and I assume this will easily work great for most people's needs without issue. ... show more

  • Excellent! Perfect for camping.
The box is absolutely superb! I put a 12 volt battery in it, and wired it up for three items to use. Works great while camping.

  • Excellent for the Money
I am using this for ham radio field ops such as POTA and as another small solar charge station if necessary. The Good: Price point. If you bought everything less the battery, you would spend more assembling a box yourself. Perfect size for my Bioenno 12v 20AH LiFePo4 battery and also had room to install a solar charge controller. Nice logical array of factory installed power receptacles including Anderson, USB-A and C which are switched. Switched DC Voltmeter. Separate "power input" Anderson Pole receptacle. That made wiring the solar controller inline a snap. Well thought out wiring design, nice installation and receptacle placement. Heavy-duty battery feeder cables with integral ATC type fuse holders. Secure closure fastener providing a tight-fit though I doubt a waterproof one. The not so good with amateur radio in mind: The rear hinge is plastic, no metal hinge pin. If it fails, it will probably be there. Will have to take care in handling. The box itself is softer and thinner plastic than some others. The battery cables are 10 ga. running to the bus distribution poles but the rest of the box is wired with 14 ga. wire. The included fuses are 30 amps. I reduced them to 15 amps to match the wiring. No 12 volt accessory port aka cigarette lighter adapter included. None of this was any surprise and since one of my radios transmits 100 watts, I knew I would have to make some modifications. Surprisingly, this is why the box gets 4 stars instead of 3. The modifications I needed were easy to do and there was plenty of room to do it. Modifications most any ham could do to make the box more versatile: Split the battery power feed in two and wire a separate line feed with 25 amp fuses to one set of Andersons for the larger radio. My battery came with Andersons so easily done with an Anderson y-splitter, connectors and some spare 12 ga. wire. A simple voltmeter is not that useful for a LiFePo and so I swapped it for a 12v accessory receptacle on top, same hole and same wire connectors--took about 1 minute. I have an inline voltage multimeter inside the box which monitors the battery when in use. Placed a solar voltage regulator inside the box to provide the proper voltage and charging current to the battery. Bioenno is picky. Bottom line and understanding that I already had the parts and tools needed for the job: Worth the money I paid, was easily modifiable to what I needed it to do and doing the mods was fun! ... show more
