This is an excellent battery box that is ready for you to just drop in your LiFePO4 20 amp battery and be ready to power on a wide variety of 12 volt DC items. It has several different types of connections including several Anderson Power Pole connections, USB-A connections and even a set of heavy duty binding posts. Also on top is a rocker ON/OFF switch and a red light volt meter that shows voltage when switch in ON position. The wiring inside the box appears very professional, neat and has a 30 amp fuse in-line. My 30 amp battery was too tall to fit but with my 20 amp battery, there is plenty of room to store various cables with different connection on their ends so I can power all my 12 volt DC items. I am an amateur radio operator, so this battery box is great for powering my transceivers when operating off the power grid. I highly recommend this battery box for its quality, power outlet options and price.

For the price and anticipated use, this item fills the bill with minor mods at a very good price point. Wiring; 10AWG with circular terminals connect the battery to the two screw terminals. The terminals caps do not remove fully (hard to misplace that way:), thus need "Y" connectors, but do have holes for straight wire. From there; 14AWG to the powerpoles, switch et al. all using flag terminals for a bit more under the lid clearance. "15A" labels now stuck on box next to powerpole outlets. Certainly adequate for the radios I have that will be using it. Replacing the circular 10AWG terminals with powerpoles required 45A pp terminals, 30A units were too small. Regular simple hinged crimping tool did not give a secure attachment, but the ratchet crimper did. The box holds a Bienno LFP40A with plenty of room at the long side, a couple inches at the ends, and mm to spare under the lid. Batt positioned against one side to avoid interference with wiring under the lid. Per Bienno, batt attached to case bottom with two strips of 3M Dual Lock tape (Amazon available) along each long edge. A foam block, ~4" wide, made from the battery's packing foam fills the larger gap between the batt and the box. The charger fits in the case with the battery. I added a small cat5 plastic cable guide underside of the lid to keep the wiring to the far corner powerpoles located safely...likely not needed. It also holds the smaller Bienno LFP20A no problem. Considered replacing one of the powerpole outlets with a Powewerx automotive 12V socket. Decided to not attempt. Two potential problems; the longer socket interfering with the 40Ah battery and rewiring; the existing wires appear to be a bit too short for that use. Work around; connect the automotive socket with 12 g wire and powerpoles for plugging into one of the outlets. Compared to the similar 6 year old Powerwerx box that held a 45Ah agm, this box is very close in dimensions. Might be just a little bit lighter in construction, its side walls seem to flex outward under slightly less pressure, its hinge is a bit floppier when open. Electrically; it van support 30A at the main terminals, has a bright V meter, copious other terminals (powerpoles, various USB). The lack of a 12V automotive socket? No problem, easy workaround, rather have the other connections. And.... the box is available for significantly lower cost that the current similar Powerwerx model. Hoping info useful. End of report

The Good: This box is much sturdier than others I've looked at. This is extremely important when you start drilling holes in it to add things like meters USB plugs etc etc. There are more than enough connections to hook up equipment. For my application the battery interfered with a couple of the connectors. This was easily overcome due to the fact that there was enough service loop left inside so I could move connectors around. You must put your battery in a box like this. If not you risk the possibility of shorting out the terminals on the battery. This would be very BAD. The not good: Anderson connectors may be rated 30A, the fuses are rated 30A, BUT the wiring is 14AWG which is only rated 15A. Easy fix, replace the fuse with a 10A one. As design engineer I cannot suggest you draw 30 amps from a 50 Ah battery. The battery just won't hold up the voltage. I'm using this for ham radio and a 10 amp supply is more than adequate. The termination to the meters and plugs are all push-ons if you wish to go to 30 amps then rewiring is very simple No soldering required. Overall I find this extremely acceptable. My battery fit, extremely important. The box is sturdy. And the functionality is good. I'm taking off one star because I had to change the fuse out.

Very good value for building a portable power station for Amateur Radio. I put two Bioenno 15 amp batteries in mine, which fit perfectly. There is still space left for storing the Bioenno AC charger next to them. I disconnected the single Anderson PowerPole socket from the buss, added a 30 amp fuse holder, and then connected it to the second battery. I also added two 5.1x2.1 coaxial connector sockets with covers to the side of the box under the hinge for charging the Bioenno batteries. Now I’m ready for emergencies or Parks On The Air activations.
