Didn't have the coffee in the morning did we??? MMMM Well the actually movie that is presented is Me Before you which is the Title of this one after the little 2 minute introduction gets played. • This is how movies should be made.
Classic Hollywood movie-making at its FINEST! So much trash on Netflix and streaming platforms. When I started watching this, it felt terrific. The locations, the actors, the plot, the story, everything had class and experience written all over it. Sharon Stone is an icon and nobody can take that away. ABSOLUTELY CLASSIC MOVIE-MAKING HERE!! I'd give it six stars! ... show more

  • The Devil's Plaything
I didn’t get it in Basic Instinct I, but Catherine Tramell is Satan, walking to and fro in the Earth, for no other reason than to toy with and destroy her victims for the simple pleasure of it. In BI I, Sharon Stone portrayed a psychopath. Not especially scary unless you are unlucky enough to meet one. But in BI II, Stone becomes a malignant demon, an avatar for all evil in the world. Meeting her is not a matter of bad luck, it’s inevitable for all of us. Which makes BI II a better film than BI I, for me. BI I wasn’t really about anything — she kills because she is crazy. Cool, stylish, sexy, crazy. BI II is about the existence, whys and wherefores of Evil. The ‘why’ is there is no why. She just likes to destroy people. David Morrissey (excellent in ‘Britannia’) is well cast here as the chess newbie elaborately destroyed by the Grand Master on Spring Break from Hades. In his earthly world, psychiatrist Michael Glass is a confident, capable enough adult. But to the Devil, he is just a plate of snails to be dipped in garlic sauce, the last bits of his sanity picked from between the Devil’s teeth, the last stain of his dignity slurped from the toothpick. And after that, he still wants to read her novel. But BI II wouldn’t work without the added ingredient of David Thewlis, back to lemon-sucking form after his sympathetic turn as Remus Lupin in Harry Potter. "Even the truth is a lie from her," he keenly reads Tramell. Cunning, dirty Detective Washburn is no match for the Devil either, but he gives it a better go than Dr. Glass. ... show more

  • Sharon Stone Put The S in Sexy
I passed this movie up several times because of the negative reviews. BI 2 happens to be entertaining and the twist at the end...Real cute! I did not see it coming. The actors did their job, and the cinematography is on point. Yes Sharon is older as so many have stated, however she knows how to play sexy, simply because she is Diva! Her leading man played his character extremely well. I watch many British films, and this movie is packed with well known British film stars. In my opinion this movie is better than the original because the actors work as a team to take you on a sensual journey . The twist at the end is like "your best flavored filling in the middle of a chunk of chocolate" ... show more

  • perfume ads are more compelling and provocative...
Some of the worst acting ever captured on screen. I've seen more convincing acting in community theater. By beginners. First rule of thumb; no one can *act* sexy: either you are or you are not. Anything else is parody. I actually felt bad for the supporting cast. I wondered how in debt, or desperate for work they were that, after reading this script - they decided to do it anyway. The original installment was cheesy in a Brie kind of way: this is cheesy in a Velveeta kind of way. It was a hard premise to swallow, since we already know Catherine IS a killer. You would think that a sequel would try to backtrack and convince us that we were wrong: that she was somehow innocent all along. ... show more

  • Great Way to Pass the Afternoon...For Intelligent Grown-Ups
Sharon Stone's comeback as feminist powerhouse mystery author Miss Katherine Trumell really, really delivers exactly what Sharon Stone (particularly Basic Instinct I) fan's have come to expect. Nothing but non-stop thrills, laugh out loud, dry, quippy dialogues, fast sports cars, a lot of sexuality in terms of special effects, wardrobe and use of adult language in the script. Critically speaking it is of course not the shocker of Basic Instinct I, but that was 23 years ago. Sharon Stone's performing does stand up to the test of time though, but like the majority of Hollywood sequels, particularly highly anticipated ones...this one did not include any of the supporting cast. However it was pretty highly charged. I would recommend to consenting, forward thinking adults. ... show more
